Ayala took majority control of TPI (Tutuban Properties Inc), who in turns leases the old Tutuban Station Station from PNR. (yung mall na ngayon used to be the colonial-era Manila Railroad Company main office, as well as the PNR)

Remember that Tutuban will be the terminal station for the North-South Commuter rail line. (and with the planned Westward extension of LRT2 to the pier, ayos diba.

If you want to see how wide the ROW is without squatters, look at this pic below from IRRI in LB, Laguna: (the road on the left side is the demarcation line, you can still see the MRR-era telegraph poles used by the PNR for directions (numbered yung mga poste hanggang Legazpi)

PNR is one of the biggest landowning government entity/corporation.

The PNR must be improve further there must be a sub station going to other remote cities of Metro Manila and including also in the Northern and Southern provincial areas.

Ano kaya nangyari sa DOST Hybrid Electric Train?

I still find it strange na our trains are not manufactured locally...

sarao's jeepneys probably won't pass basic safety standards.

    ...sarao trains...?
    heh heh.

    besides,
the local market for trains is so limited,
the local manufacturer probably won't make a decent profit.

IMO, building the trains and maintaining them.

How many trains does PNR have right now?

We are presently providing jobs to Indonesian and Chinese train makers...

after seeing the way some entities milked the mrt,
i wouldn't go into the business unless i had an ironclad contract from the government.

PNR rescinds contract w/ chinese company after being red flagged by COA for numerous violations in the acquisition process

The Philippine National Railways (PNR) canceled its P921 million contract with Chinese firm CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. for the acquisition of new trains after the Commission on Audit (COA) questioned its procurement and plans to conduct a re-bidding.
