gusto kong sumakay sa PNR train. ibang-iba ang dating.![]()
baludoy,
Thanks for the info. How do we show this on the internet? Pictures maybe? One important detail to this, all pictures have to show clean environment, just like Boracay, they rake the sand of the beaches every other morning, all garbage picked up and hauled away. In Naga, since its same as Boracay, the locales must have a list of volunteers who will do the clean up every day, every week, every month. Everyone must have a hand on this upliftment. Its easy cleaning up if only few tourist comes but when things pick up its not a going to be a joke when maintaining cleanliness and so a lot of helping hands have to be there. I hope local government see my vision. lol !![]()
PNR is still in the rehab stage. Right now, old sleepers and rails in the Metro are being rehabilitated. Eventually, full service between Tutuban and Alabang will soon commence.

bakit nga ba naging inactive bigla ang pnr dati? mismanagement? lack of funds? a victim of natural disaster (in bicol)?
I'm also wondering why PNR stopped its Bicol operations before.
Edit:
from http://wowlegazpi.com/2009/04/23/pnr...-service-soon/PNR totally stopped its Manila-Bicol-Manila service for more than two years due to heavy damage wrought by super typhoons “Milenyo” and “Reming” to substantial portions of its tracks starting from Calamba City in Laguna up to Legazpi City in Albay
Anyway, the PNR trains for the Manila-Bicol route look so much like the locally assembled buses in Laguna, pero siyempre yung bus builders din yung nagrefurbish right? In fairness, they look really good for refurbished units unlike some of the refurbished buses I rode before. Looking forward to riding the Bicol Express in the future.![]()
I found Tayuman to be very close. From the walkway of the LRT U can see the PNR...It's a very short walk.
You know? Mismanagement malamang ang naging dahilan. PNR is a major transpo for all and it pays by itself. Recession of what, may sumasakay diyan and if money is mismanage, then walang perang pang maintain and if theres no maintenance , like refurbishing down engines, missing rails, missing screws, and the list goes on and on.
The person to lead PNR must have a heart and passion for the trains and save those moneys earned to buy new faster trains and better rails. I just wonder, papaano mag tatravel in one rail road ang express papuntang Bicol and those dmu's getting passengers just for metroman!ila use.
Again, the person to lead the PNR department must , must have the heart and passion mainly for the trains. It's hard to find one much less for the new president who will love to lead the Philippines.
Mabuhay po tayong lahat and please monitor the person who will lead this department of the government.
Or else this changes will go down the drain again. Sayang lang ang pinaghirapan ni Defensor at ang mga trabahador na naglinis, naglatag ng mga bagong riles * sleepers.
I am no Defensor admirer pero siya iyong naka mukha dito sa project na ito. I hope siya pa ren ang maglead ng PNR under the new government ni Noynoy/Mar next year. If not then the next guy has to have the passion for locomotives. Peace ! !
By the way, thanks again for the new pictures. Ganda ganda.
I hope everyone is safe after the big flood that happened yesterday. I believe everyone can watch abs cbn with their live coverage of this event. They are extending their help via donations , helicopter help etc. The tel. nos. are not being shown on tv yet. you can call on Mis. Tina Monzon Palma, Chris Aquino at abs cbn.
