I don't get why a lot of politicians and locals have this mentality that the U.S. has the moral obligation to protect us in case of a conflict with China or any other WPS claimant. It's also crazy to expect that the US will keep giving us boats and aircraft for our military without compensation. Parang nanlilimos parati.

Japan has a thriving homegrown arms market. They have their own warships, armor, small arms, ASW aircraft, etc. They just haven't been allowed to export them until recently.
