It rivals the Juke, Eco, and Creta. Juke's just a.. won't continue any longer.

VITARA | AUTOMOBILE | Global Suzuki

who wants to speculate on the GL's price? maybe P825k ? d*mn you excise tax i should've waited for the GL instead of buying the eco ambiente

however the Ecosport is still a taller vehicle w/ higher ground clearance, but Vitara is no slouch either

but! Vitara is slightly wider and quite a bit longer since it doesn't have to be sub-4meter like the Eco. (apparently the indian version (brezza) was redesigned to be sub-4m)

another good thing on the Vitara is that the rear lifts up instead of sideways on the eco

but to keep costs down the Vitara GL has hand-cranked rear windows i think i could live with that

by the looks of it the Vit GL is going to be a better car than Eco Ambiente. but the pricing might be an issue. we don't have any free trade agreements w/ hungary, right?

The 6 airbags seem to be available only on the GLX version.

Sir ieddam, which Suzuki dealership displayed the new Vitara at Festival Mall?

I thought the Vitara was positioned with the Ford Escape segment?

Hmmm.. looking at the dimensions, it seems this is a scaled down version of the Grand Vitara.

Added 100K for the GLX is totally worth it just for the safety kit over the GL+. Side and curtain airbags are only available on limited vehicles in this price range, city jazz vx+, altis. Those plus ESC should be mandatory on all vehicles imo.

Rain-sensing wipers are cruise control are a godsend. Panoramic roof is nice too for long drives.

I only dislike the limited color options for the GLX, they could've offered more mainstream like white or grey along with the orange, red, and turquoise. Too bad those are only available on the GL+.

We had the 2 previous models of the grand vitara before. Talagang plasticky ang suzuki and their target market talaga is for the budget conscious. A few years after ownership, madali masira mga mechanism like power windows, door latches etc. engine naman is reliable but the V6 model we had wasnt frugal at all. IIRC, we didnt have to change any major suspension parts

Mas sulit ngayon ang vitara with the added features. Good move by suzuki by bringing the vitara and not the grand vitara.
Teka, meron pa ba grand vitara?

The new Vitara is totally different from previous generations. They just used the same name for brand continuity.

I've read some reviews from some UK forums and most of the complaints were from the Vitara S turbocharged variant, issues like malfunction indicators showing up erratically, transmission failure. Having read some of these issues, I beginning to have some doubts with the new Vitara's durability. Of course that is still something remained to be seen here for non turbocharged variants that will be released here.

Quality after sales service and availability of spare parts are also some concerns I have with Suzuki. Anybody here knows of a top notch Suzuki dealership at Metro Manila?

sir eido when they say dating ng units, are they referring to display units only? Or yung actual units na pwede nang ibenta sa customer?

The BGC branch is the satellite show room for the Shaw branch if I'm not mistaken. Would you know the quality of the after sales service over there?
