Anybody knows how many km can a Suzuki APV (manual) still travel when fuel meter is at "E" ? For example, mine here "Fuel meter near E photo" i decided to gas. But I am curious, just how far can it still go if at "E".

    my apv gas chronology

    Thanks.

the tried and true method, is to have the drum opened up and see the brake shoes, po. it's de cajon. just ask the mechanic to do it, while you watch. most of them can do it half-asleep. you can also DIY, if you are "fit" and possess basic automotive knowledge.
some cars have peepholes built into them, but i personally prefer opening. that way, they can be adjusted, they can be cleaned, and potential issues might be gleaned early enough.
consult the manual or google, for the minimum pad thickness.
    Thanks paps,
i already open my drums but dunno the minimum thickness before replacing it.

My technique is to release the clutch a little until you feel that it has already engaged like a half-release just enough not to stall then your right foot from the brake pedal shifts to the gas pedal and make adjustments to the clutch. This would limit the backing up of the vehicle.

At that fuel level in your photo my APV SGX AT can still go about 10km. Exact E, around 3km pa.

    might i inquire,
is this based on someone's experience, or on published literature?

sa non-suzuki ko kasi, at "E", i still can do at least 20 km, based on ill-advised experience.

but i did lose once on the empty tank roulette.
i forgot that we had moved the fuel tank earlier, and had not re-calibrated it afterward.
buti na lang, the gas station was just a hundred meters away...
but we did have to scrounge around, for a suitable fuel container.

To share . . . I drove the Tagaytay-Talisay zigzag road, from Batangas to Tagaytay this holy week (some labelled this a 'dangerous road') in my APV SGX 2012, 6 adult passengers including myself, 9pm. I made it! Have to used L gear on very steep climbs, almost a U curve. The APV was reving at 4000 rpm, but it was able to climb. Good experience but scary!

dr. d, mine was from experience, 'safe side'. But it could be more. Haven't tried max-ing it really.

If the road is an uphill climb, the gas task is in an uphill position. Does this have an effect on the remaining fuel liters inside the gas task? The effect i'm thinking could be one of the following:

    - it decreases the usable gas to do the drive
    - it increases the usable gas to do the drive
    - no effect at all.

    Thanks.
