2014 Suzuki swift 1.2

Hello po mga sir! Ask ko lang po sana kasi I recently got approved po sa autoloan via BPI and super newbie po ako so medyo nangangapa po ako sa process. So far, tatlo po ung pinagpipilian ko Suzuki Ertiga, Suzuki Celerio and Suzuki Swift Dzire. Ask ko lang po ano ba difference ng suzuki swift 1.2 sa dzire and kamusta po ung fuel consumption ng dzire?
Mostly siguro ang use ng car is city driving lang and out of town minsan.

Also, ano po ba mga dapat kong tanungin dun sa nag-aassist sakin sa car loan? So far kasi ang napagusapan pa lang namin is pag may napili na daw ako, kontakin ko na lang daw sya sa preferred model ko and sila na lang kokontak sa mga dealers to ask for a quotation since wala pa ko nakakausap na dealer. Sa alam ko sir, the swift dzire is the sedan version of the swift 1.2 which is a hatchback naman. The dzire is a bit cheaper, pero mas premium yata and features at interior ng hatchback.

I think also mas mabuti na you would also ask dealers yourself also, you can just give a call sa dealers kung hassle sayo pupunta and have a quote emailed or faxed to you. or if you can go visit, you can test drive several units to get the feel. para you will have a ballpark figure to compare it with the bank. and you can have leverage sa bank mo kung may mas magandang deal from dealers or other banks also. i think baka may iba-ibang promo depending on the dealers.

Suzuki Swift 2018 Model released to me last Sept 9, has its seat leather already (according to sales agent).
It's a decision to me to get it already since so many features for a hatch.

Comes when we paid the car in full and released it the leather seats are not available until now.
I complain to DTI already since it's like "Installment Features/Accessories".

To date Suzuki Phils cannot even give dates to when they can provide.
Why do they sell units with incomplete features? When they say leather seat it should be there when i bring out the car.

Same with there GPS card, it was released after a week. My other car it was there when i bring it out.
No wonder Suzuki are good products but the people behind the marketing/operations to sell are out dated.
They should benchmark other brand (ex. Toyota).

The Law (Consumers Act) tells this as violation already.

kasi pag leather seats dba yata dapat yun na yung upuan mo na naka leather already. kasi parang mahirap yata kung tatanggalin yung current seat and replace it with a leather seat? ay... parang ako mismo naguluhan din. hahaha.

seats... as in i have to leave the car for days to install it.
It's done already after i complain to DTI, they hurriedly install it. Most probably not registered yet to DTI as features.

conflicting yung sinasabi ng mga dealers, one said a new swift will be coming this year or next (advised me even to wait for the new models), tapos the other said that the new version will not be made available here.
do they really get insider info or nakkinig lang din sa mga rumors lol.

Yay! That looks really nice! Dibale na yung delay bro.

I'm excited also, waiting for my unit to arrive, tentative next week daw. Though I'm not really sure if I would love leather seats, since yung previous car ko has a fabric seats and tried using "leather" seat covers but then tinanggal ko din after a few months kasi nakaka paso when naka park under direct sunlight. Hehehe. Keeping fingers crossed, I hope it would really be sweeter the second time around and not sweatier.

The nephew of my bro-in-law works for suzuki cebu, and sa kanya ako nag order ng unit. They were adviced daw that the incoming shipments would be leather seats already. But yung body remains the same parin sa current model. The new body might come in next year pero di pa alam exactly when.

They might be disposing off the units with the current body before introducing the new one specially sa Ph na di naman top seller ang swift... just my thought though.

Saw one in Singapore... Looks similar to the current Philippine model... But a bit more modern.

I wonder if the swift hybrid would be introduced in the Philippines? As I understand that hybrids are exempted from the "new excise tax" for being environmental/eco friendly or something to that tone. Although hybrids like the Toyota Prius cost a ton, like ur buying an Altis at a Camry price. Hehehe. What's your thought guys?

Finally, baby shark was released yesterday afternoon.

I am loving the silence of the engine... pang "silent operation" reminds me of college days when I come home late or early hours in the morning na dapat di magising si dad. hahaha. I wish I have this kind of car back then so I don't have to switch off the engine and have to push the car until it reaches our gate. hahaha.

So far, i was impressed of the 1.2 engine in going up hills. Can climb up the multi level parking ng mall on a 2nd gear and 3rd to 4th gear going uptown CDO. It is roomy also, that i do not need to pull back the driver's seat way to the back, i'm 5'10", and unlike the vios ng kapatid ko na I have to push it sagad sa likod which is kawawa yung sasakay directly at my back.

Loving it so far... better than a girl friend. hahaha.

Swift is good and reliable car based on the reviews that I read, and I just finished reading this thread. Though I also heard horror stories on the customer service. The nearest dealer on my area is at Suzuki Alabang. How their service po?

We are planning to keep the car for more than 5 years, is it worth it compare to Mirage hatch considering the aftermarket parts and service?

Re: Swift vs. Mirage hatch -- well, the Swift is a little bigger and is in fact, from a different classification--compact, while the Mirage is a supermini. That alone should offset the added cost in terms of purchase price and maintenance. 3 years with my Swift now and no major problems so far. Minor problems have all been solved thru warranty.

Hi I got mine this Oct 6, Swift 1.2 A/T, registered na sya as 2018 model, hindi leather ang seats but still a very happy owner, may nabasa ako na leather seats ay included pag binili mo sya ng cash, yung ordinary seat ay installment feature. yun ang pag kaka alam ko.

I bought mine last October 20 through Suzuki Cebu North and released the next day landed in Suzuki CDO, Swift 1.2 MT 2018 model. It is fabric seats pa, but I actually requested from my nephew that I wanted it fabric coz medyo high maintenance yung leather seats, then kung nasa mainit ka naka park nakakapaso, and on the long run it would crack pag di well maintained. Saw other models sa showroom, it is not leather seats padin, but they can change it to one if you request for a certain fee. And they already are informed that sometime 2018, the swift will come with leather seats na daw, standard for all models (got this news from my nephew that works for suzuki). I got the navi card for free, 3M tint, seatcovers, floormat, the comprehensive insurance with acts of nature coverage for 1 year, and a hefty discount. hehe. I was impressed with the mileage for my 1st 1,000php ko na gas, pumalo cya sa 406kms with an average of 16km/L which is not bad, mixed highway and city driving about half and half rough estimate.

Although Mirage has the same engine with the swift which is 1.2, it is only 3 cylinders and lesser HP, you have more colors to choose from though. But you can still take a look at it though at kung saan man matipuan ni wifey since cya naman ang gagamit.
