Hi
Patulong lang mga co-Tsikoteers
Car: Avanza
Last Oct 2014, nag replace ako ng brake pad and pina re-face yung rotor plate due to rough na sia. So, ok sia until this last 2 weeks, mejo may squeaking sound ung front-left part.
Nag squeak sia after est.
Ano kaya pwedeng solution dito?
Thanks in advance

probable causes:
because of moisture
brake pad wear
el cheapo brakepads which contain high metal
rust between the pads and the rotor
rusted drums
i am assuming its the moisture, since napalitan mo na ang pads mo and nagpa reface ka na..... medyo maalimoom pa naman ngayon sa umaga.

That's the problem, anytime you machine or resurface brake drums and rotors you are supposed to wash the new surface with soap and water to remove the cast iron dust. If you don't the dust coats the brake pads and when you apply the brakes, the cast iron rotor or drum rubs against the iron coated brake pad/shoe and squeals like the brakes on a train

palagyan mo guide pins/ shims/ caliper bolt/ etc....
pag ayaw pa din mawala it only means one thing, nung nagpa-reface ka ng rotor the resulting finish is not 100% flat or within acceptable rotor run-out...

January 29th, 2015 01:21 PM #10clean all your brakes front and rear. if your brakes still squeal, then its probably you have a bad quality of brakepads installed, and its best to swap in an OEM pads....
