Takot lang ako sa color. Its darker than the motul oil. Hehe.

Let's see, after two dyno sessions (which typically eat 1/4 to 1/2 liter of Shell Helix) and a few days of use plus some drag-launch testing, the oil seems to be stable. Won't be able to tell for sure until I've passed the 3000 km mark with this stuff, but I'm happy so far.

Speedyfix: Yup just noticed this morning that its indeed purple. Happy with the oil so far. I keep on forgetting to put the sticker, it might give me more power. hahaha.

question (slightly ot):

there's a slight leak in my valve cover as evidenced by some dirt build-up... but still not enough to cause a drop in the oil level.

do I have it fixed during my next oil change? or can I do my oil change first, then have it fixed later na lang?

Has any of you heard of the Emerat brand? Its supposed to come from the UAE, 20W-50 ang rating nya. It costs around P500-P550 per 4 liters. Am going to do an oil change, nakita ko highly recommended ng Auto Supply na suki ko. Ok rin ba to?

1st time to hear about this brand. From the price and viscosity, mineral oil yan. Check mo na lang compared to other mineral oils kung ok ang price.

1k PMS? masyado pang maaga mag pa change oil, no need to change your oil sa 1k PMS, wait for your 5k or 10k PMS....

Can I put Royal Purple into my brand new car?

Yes. Royal Purple currently offers many viscosity grades of API Licensed Motor Oils. To allow for proper break in of the engine, Royal Purple recommends waiting until the manufacturer’s first scheduled oil change or a minimum of 2,000 miles in new gasoline engines. Allow 8,000 to 10,000 miles before using Royal Purple in diesel engines.

That's roughly 3200 kms for gas engines and 13000 to 16000 kms for diesel

raine, sorry we don't deliver to pasay. you can purchase the oil at Orange performance though if you like. nasa pasong tamo extension sila and they have the complete lineup of RP oils naman.

Red Bureau, better nga to break in the engine using the normal oil they have in toyota. then switch over nalang when the engine is nice and smooth na

shadow, you can use the 10w40 oil. that should be just right. if gusto mo tumipid konti sa gas you can also try the 30 weight oil

thanks dude, correct me kung mali pagkaintindi ko ha, if I use the 10w30 is mas titipid sa gas but it will offer less protection for my engine since mas manipis yun oil? tama ba? when you say tipid konti sa gas, how much yan in terms of number?

The lower number or first number shows the cold temperature viscosity and the second number is the engine operating temperature viscosity.
