Why not bleed your brake fluid and pour in a fresh one....kasi nagboil over na yung brake fluid mo eh.

your brake fluid whether DOT 3 or DOT 4 is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture. when it does, the boiling point drops and causes the brakes to self apply or drag once it has expanded due to temperature rise and gets worse proportionally with temperature rise. DOT 3/4 brake fluid is supposed to be changed around two years after installation (consult your owner's manual). once contaminated, overheated or aged, it has to be replaced. brake fluid is expendable and cheap compared to a potential accident

were both tires hot o isa lang?

kung pareho then your brakes might have just overheated. normal but can be avoided.

kung isa lang, brake pads might be dragging the rotors. have it checked.

nitro on tires have little to no bearing.

subukan mo sa normal driving lang, after ilang minutes na drive check mo ang rim mo kung sobrang init pa rin then stuck up ang brake caliper mo, pa overhaul mo, sabay na palit ng fluid ang bleeding.

    *JJGF: di pala ako nag-iisa

*10323015: both front rims/tires were hot, definitely an overheat

*raine: the problem was just that one instance, but i'll have the fluid replaced this weekend anyway to have a fresh start (maintenance)

thanks sa mga replies! noted on the '2' or 'L' use for downhill.

hmm.. technically, wala namang sira ang brake system ko. i just experienced an overheating problem since i drove downhill stepping on the brakes most of the time.

but yeah, i'll update this thread after the change.
