wow mahal ah! sana you got replacement rotors nalang and bendix pads. malamang di ka aabutin ng mga 6-7k sa lahat...

iba po ba ang price ng refacing ng rotor brakes and drum brakes? sinisingil kasi ako ng 660 para sa drum at 760 pag sa rotor...sa yokohama po ako nagpatingin sa loob ng makro cainta...

One possible cause ng tok sound na yan kapag nag preno ka is your CV joint. baka tuyo na yung grease dahil sa sira na ung boot, kailangan mo palagyan ulit ng grease. nangyari na sa akin yan, merong tok sound kapag nape preno ako. have it checked sa mekaniko, binaklas nila tapos nilagyan ng bagong grasa. sabi nya kapag hindi nawala ung tok sound i might need to replace the CVJ. pero luckily nawala ung tok sound nung nalagyan ng bagong grasa. masyado na kase malaki yung boot kaya laging natatangal kaya mabilis natuyo/naubos ung grasa ng CVJ which causes the Tok sound.

have you had your car checked na? Minsan sounds can be deceiving ... for all you know, break pads lang pala kailangan mo i-replace ;-) Have a good service center check it first kung hindi pa na-da-diagnose ... but do it immediately baka lumala or baka dangerous na pala condition niya. Feedback ka sa amin once sure ka na.

ok salamat po. i'll be visiting servitek. dun ako nagpareplace ng sterring boots at rack and pinion boot recently at ok naman sila magtrabho.

that's horrendous. replacement rotor discs for the mazda 626 are only 2000 each (new) in banawe. granted, hindi original yun, but a rotor disc is just a round piece of metal..

ang alam ko 300/rotor lang ang pag reface ng disc sa banawe (i had this done recently). tapos mga 800 per set ang bendix pads (that's for both left and right wheels na).

had my rotor and drum refaced jan sa yokohama makro compound and was charged that same amount (660) and 700 plus for the drum both left and right na yon. so i guess reasonable naman...and its understandable na mas mahal ng konte compared to banawe prices.

ok na po. sa yokohama ako nagpareface...i didn't have time to go to servitek, mejo malayo kasi sa area namin ng onti compared to yokohama. may free bodywash pa after the job.

ok naman service dyan sa yokohama sa makro (motek). hwag lang kayo bibili ng parts dyan dahil sobra taas ng markup nila. they quoted P950 for a set of disc pads that i bought for P580.

...mahal nga ang parts pag sa kanila binili...napamahal nga ako nung sa kanila ako bumili ng disc pads...tsk tsk tsk

yup correct! lalo na sa tires...i once inquired for tire prices a piece...almost 1-2k and markup nila...and masama, compared to their other branches na yokohama pa...but service is quite good, mabilis naman basta hindi pila.hehe.

kapag pababa ako sa bridge sabay brake may unting tok sound din sa brakes ko pag tapak ko tapos pag backing nman na pababa kasi may unting tok din pero kpag sa high way driving ma wla nman tok.. normal ba to?

last 5 months na ata nag pa replace ako ng front brake pedals.. sa back nman wla pa pa check ko nlang to mga bros?

I had my pads replaced sa ng pic-up ko.. sabi ng taga Caltex na mechanic e pa refaced ko daw ung rotor disc kasi di na smooth may mga circular na guhit na ma fe-feel mo pag kinapa mo.. nag tanung ako sa casa if necessary nga ba e pa re-face sabi ng advisor ok pa naman daw.. ang mga guhit ba na cicular sa rotor disc e sign na kailangan na e re face? ano ang basehan na kailangan na e reface and disc?.. share ko lang po.. naexperience ko naren po ung problem na pag nagbrake mei tok sound.. una, pag nagbbrake lang.. nung kalaunan, habang umaandar, nagkaroon na ng consistent "tok tok tok" sound.. sa front left na wheel ko po.. tas pag nagbrake ako, nwawala, pero mei tok paren pag nagbreak ako.. tas habang bumibilis, lumalakas ng lumalakas na ung tok until it evolved into an eeking sound.. eek eek eek.. ung tipong nakakangilo.. happend dat to me while driving my way home at araneta... tas nung pina check, bearings pla.. pinalitan nlng ung bearing sa outer side... nawala ung tok niya sa brake and while rolling.. ngayon bumabalik n nman pag loaded ang ride ko and mabilis ang takbo.. tas nagwwiggle nren manubela ko pag above 60 na takbo ko.. then onting brakes to eliminate the wiggle temporarily... maybe it needed

and hindi ko maalis alis na prob po is maingay po preno ko... nag-e-eeeeek kahet tuyo ung disks.. sabi daw mapulbo ung pads.. pinarebond lng un pads eh.. pero dati nman nde xa ganun khet rebonded lng un.. hindi po kaya ung disks na po ung may problema? ung disks ko kasi ay may mga guhit na eh... pero nde nman mlalalim.. kelangan n po ba ipamachine shop ung disks? both disks infront has this guhit thing..

normal lang naman na magkaguhit yung rotor. hindi naman kasi even ang mga brake pads. basta hwag lang masyado malalim. i'd say a groove of 1mm is still ok, more than that, you'll need to reface the rotor.

may kumakatok kamo pag preno? baka hindi related sa rotor yan. kasi ang symptoms ng warped rotor ay "nanginginig" pag pumepreno. pero i pacheck mo pa rin.

mga sirs,

may prob rin po ako sa brakes. pano pag nanginginig yung brake pedals pag na inapakan yung brake.

yung car pala is crosswing xuvi.
