uneven wear of the brake pads...
You can have it resurfaced at a machine shop when you next change your pads.

sandpaper lang at
tuyong basahan/paint brush dyan.
Im curious, ginawa mo na ba to sa auto mo? Parang home made resurface ang ginagawa mo ah :hihihi:
dont do it since it could cause more problems sa brake disk mo. Or it could be worst. Have it prefessionally resurfaced. Kung may guhit guhit ang disc, baka kailangan na ng resurface. This is sometimes due to over-torquing the wheel lugs. Also, kung metallic ang pads mo, this could cause that as well. another cause of uneven wear is due to improper bedding of the pads. Mostly happens after installing a new disc.
Proper bedding:
10 cycles of:
0-60mph, brake hard until you reach 5mph. Then accelerate again. DO NOT let the break pad rests on the disc while doing the cycle. Doing so will damage the disc, warp sooner and will not achieve the full potential of the brake system.
Kung kalawang lang at matagal mo hindi ginamit, natural lang yon. Maaalis din yon kapag ginamit mo na ulit. Also, kung may mga kalawang sa rotor hat, gamitan mo ng brake cleaner.

June 25th, 2004 12:20 PM #8the line on the rotor is probably caused by a small rock stuck in between the rotor and pads.
the only way matangal is by having it resurfaced.

Pagkano ba mag pa resurface ng disk brake? Any idea na magaling gumawa pero mas cheaper?
