You'll never know, the machine might be out of calibration, maybe the mechanic doesn't really have the training, maybe the mechanic did not do a complete pre-alignment check. It is good to educate the driver/owner about the operation and maybe it would have been okay if you declined the offered services

Your car will be fine, it's just a loose bolt or washer. Most likely a broken or improperly returned rubber bushing. Probably the stabilizer link. The steering feels lighter because the old worn out tires had larger area of contact to the ground.

If there's nothing wrong with the alignment before, never have it adjusted.

camber and other suspension alignment, specialized tools are needed.
but fixing suspension component parts... i have that done at my favorite convenience shop sa tabi-tabi.., e.g., pedro gil ambulant & tambay auto mechanics association. after they do their thing, i bring it to nearby servitek for alignment.

and if i may ask... what's the name of thor's shop? i have a few lightning bolt launchers that need servicing.. heh heh.

I have never brought any car to tambayan shops, but I have seen them work. My favorite is when they use the drill & welding tools to correct alignment issues.

    HAHAHA!!
.. haven't heard that in a few decades..
hanggang ngayon ba, ginagawa pa yan?
and do they still repair ball joints by heating them up with an acetylene torch, then hammering at them to "tighten them up"?

but seriously.. tambay mechanics are "hands-for-hire" to me. they do the greasy work while i watch. if i do not approve, i say so and they comply. this means, tambay mechanics are not for those who do not know auto mechanics. yes, they do the right things... usually....
but kung lagi mong papabayaan sila, ay baka ...

Yup, I still see those "Camber Specialist" shops with the cement ramp where you drive your car up this ramp & the mechanics climb beneath. Usually in small towns. Meron pa dito sa Cavite. Clients are owner jeeps & run down cars.
