when replacing shocks, especially sa rear, does it have to be in pair? i understand na yung front kailangan.
although hindi ko pa napatignan, pero may kutob ako na shocks na yung prob ng auto. kasi may naririnig akong malakas na THUG kahit konting lubak lang sa right side.
appreciate your feedbacks.\
thanks.

Yep. It has to be a pair. Pero check mo muna at baka bushing lang ang maingay sa likod.

yep, sounds like your shocks. does the car 'bottom out' over bumps, or bounce up and down when it hits uneven pavement? malamang shocks yan, especially if your car has a lot of miles on it.

m54, hindi naman nag bounce up. matigas lang ang tunog kahit konting lubak. parang bakal na tumatama sa body.
thanks.

related to this thread, accdg to my mechanic di naman daw necessarily na pair lagi ang pagpalit ng shocks. kasi daw iba naman daw ang laro ng left & right shocks so bakit dalawa daw ang papalitan kung isa lang ang may problema?
what do you guys think about this?

gas shocks--nitrogen? filled--stiffer,can handle heavy loads.the piston of the shocks tends to push up..
fluid--oil filled--softer ride--moderate loads..the piston is stiffer when pushing down, the springs will make decompress it
had mine change all to gas..because the fluid types easily breaks because of the weight of my 4wd delica van..a bit stiffer than fluid but i like the ride than before
gas shocks cost more than a fluid type..so determine first your load..
hope ive helped.

as much as possible apat dadat ang palitan. but if sa rear lang dapat two, yes independent ang suspension but new shocks control spring action better than old ones so hindi pantay ang suspension mo. also its better that you dont mix gas with fluid type shocks.
gas is way above better than fluid type.
Puwede i try, 1. Palit air filter 2. Linis throttle body 3. Linis MAF sensor 4. Check spark...
high idle RPM at engine start
