It says that on the box.

There is also a QR code on the box, when scanned shows this:
that can mean anything from "made by akebono" to "made for akebono (by xxx company)", and everything else in between.

I don't know if it is my mind playing tricks on me but I swear I read somewhere before, 2 years ago, that the Brembo (Akebono) brake pads are made in Japan but the shims and brake grease that came along with the box are made in China. I am actually scouring the box and the internet but can't seem to find where I read that.

By the way, the Brembo ceramic pads I used before are toast. Lasted only 2 years. Around 20,000kms. I bought another set.
Wanted to buy original manufacturer pads (which is Akebono by the way) but they cost 8500 while the brembo cost 3k in shopee.

It depends on the way you drive. But I've never had to change brake pads at 20k kms. I also have apprehensions about that 3k price.

Clearance sale?

Ok naman yung scan mo sa new purchase? Planning to recommend to a friend.

Yeah, when the QR code on the box was scanned, it led me to Brembo's website and says the product code is valid or something.

You know what, I think I messed up the bedding in procedure of the first Brembo pads I tried. Just after 1 day of installing, I remember braking so hard, the ABS activated. Now I tried being gentle with the new brake pads which seem to behave normally as of now, unlike before where its noisy and groaning during stops.

The recurring issue I have with brembo is that the included shims does not fit on the caliper. I always had to reuse the old ones, just cleaning it with a wire brush.

And in the 20,000km run of the first pads, it didn't seem to have damaged or wear out the brake rotor.

    Thanks.

Hope this new one will work out better for you.
