If the brake line is available at the dealership, get the OEM. Or if it's not available, get a prefabricated line and bend it to the oreegeenal shape.

well, if it's not a defective slave cylinder, it's a defective tubing / coupler.
you'll just have to replace each one, one at a time, to see which needed replacing.
i'd start with the tubing, as it's cheaper. you might try ready-made ones (yess, such things are available, for popular models!), or you remove yours and ask the store to duplicate it.

but definitely, teflon tape is not it!

It is alright to reuse old fittings if the hex drive or the threads are not stripped. The fittings may not have caused the leak, the corroded line did.

My guess is, the the tapered cone receiving end of the new brake cylinder did not seat well with the OEM brake line flared end causing the leak. but tightening it optimally should solve your problem (presuming that the flared end is still ok and the end fitting hex head is not rounded). maybe your mechanic just did not tighten it properly. A very experienced and knowledgeable mechanic will NOT use Teflon with this kind of job. or maybe he doesnt have complete tools for this job
