September 21st, 2017 11:43 PM #2i haven't peeked under the car in a long time, so i don't know if copper tubing or rubber tubing...
what i do remember is, if orig is copper, then replace with copper. if orig is rubber, then replace with rubber.
and once it leaks, replace. teflon just doesn't do it.
good luck.

the fittings probably need more tightening, for hydraulics you need a counter wrench against the tightening wrench.
alam no naman mga kunwari-mekaniko ...

September 22nd, 2017 06:40 AM #4In the u.s. it is against the law to use copper for hydraulic brake lines. If the occupants of the car die in an accidental due to faulty brakes, that idiot of a mechanic can be charged and found guilty of manslaughter.
The brake fittings do not need Teflon tape. The fittings are either 45° flare nuts or ISO bubble fittings. If they don't seal, replacement is necessary.
Look for a competent automotive technician not a plumber.

September 22nd, 2017 07:16 AM #5*dr.d depende ata sa model ng car and sa type ng brake(disc or drum) yung itsura ng lines.example po if titignan mo yung picture sakin, makita mo yung may clamp is rubber brake hose yung before pinagkakabitan is the brake line then brake hose thenbrake line uli po bago mag wheel cylinder.

September 22nd, 2017 09:16 AM #7so where is the leak? if it is at the end of that length of rubber tubing with the vise grip, where it screws into the brake slave cylinder inlet, then just simply replace that hose. dami-daming nabibiling brake hose na yan.
the other possibility is, your slave cylinder is defective, probably at its inlet port. if so, then you have to replace it.
btw. sigurado ba kayong sarado yung bleeder nipple? baka yun ang source of leak?
this is supposed to be a very simple problem. i think the cause of the "complication" is TS's in-ability to show the picture of the actual leak.
good luck, TS.

September 22nd, 2017 10:02 AM #8That should be a simple repair job for a knowledgeable mechanic.
Just replace the rubber brake hose (not copper tubing). If that doesnt help, buy a new brake cylinder.
TBH, yung replacement madali. Hassle jan yung bleeding.
