When you change the batteries of the keys, is it just “open, change, close”? Or do you have to do something to re-synch it with the car again?

I’m not sure how long the current batteries have been in the keys so might as well change it.

Not even sure which batteries to use coz the manual lists 2 kinds....

Didn't need to do anything when I changed the batteries on my XV key. I suppose it's the same with the Forester.

I have just gotten my new 2018 Forester 2.0i-L. I wanted to be able to use Waze using the infotainment screen for my navigation, is there a way to do that? Thank you!

    Congrats on your new ride!

Wala ata navi option yung head unit ng mga Foresters dito sa atin. You have to buy a head unit that has Navigation functionality.

Anong itsura ng dent? Baka kaya pa yan ng hot water technique.

Uh oh. First blood. Kung maliit, use hot water lang. If not, claim from your insurance. You are already covered from day 1.

This gives me the impression that new cars are "magnet to dents".

The first time I used the 2.0 L Jetta, I discovered that it has back up sensors and functioning properly. I don't have this with my CR-V 98 but instead a back up camera. So as I was backing up, the sensors were giving me those high pitched sounds and so my friend warned me. I answered back, "Don't worry, it's still very far." Just as I finished my word, we heard a big "scratch"! They all laughed at me saying, "The sensors are working, that's great!" I kept my mouth shut.

Several months ago as I was using the Mazda 6, I turned to the usual corner that I pass and hit a flower pot. I thought I was far from it and I didn't feel anything back then not until I reached our garage to find out the big dent from that flower pot.

I know and I've seen the pot, I just thought I'm still far from it (again).

According to your post, you didn't see the post. That post must be a short post!

If anything, your story have consoled me with all the scratches and dents that I have.

    😀

You'll get used to it, just like me.

What aspects of the Forester did you like over the Sta. Fe?

I'm currently thinking of getting either a Subaru Forester XT or a Santa Fe CRDi. I've found a lot of information and user feedback on the Santa Fe but can't seem to find much on the Forester.

Test drove both and I prefer the Subaru .

Are there Subaru owners out there who'd like to share their experiences with their rides?

    Thanks all.

    Good day!

We just got XT (pre-lifted 2016) with Php. 300K discount last June. We were lucky to get this car (last two units). Previously we had Sta. Fe 2008 model (A/T 4x2).

XT is more powerful (241HP compare with 200HP new model). XT is AWD while Sta. Fe is only 4x2. Sta. Fe 4x4 model is much expensive (Php. 2.2M). Ride is almost the same. Accessories are almost the same. Sta. Fe has little bit bigger space (7 seater while XT is only 5 seater). Sta. Fe has better fuel consumption than XT (diesel vs. gasoline).

If you really concern about the cost of fuel, then Sta. Fe is better option. But you like power, XT is better choice. Since we had Sta. Fe before, we wanted to try XT and got it cheap (Php. 1.5M).

We love the option of Intelligent mode, Sport mode and Super Sport. It is like driving a real sport car.

    Cheers
