All-new Subaru XV to make Philippine debut in September
    http://www.autoindustriya.com/auto-i...v-in-asia.html

The new crossover represents the XV's first full model change since its initial debut in 2012. It is also the second model to be built under the new Subaru Global Platform which will underpin their new generation of vehicles with "heightened levels of confidence, comfort and control".
In terms of styling, the XV incorporates the Japanese automaker's new 'Dynamic x Solid' design philosophy resulting in a distinctively rugged and sporty exterior. Featuring Subaru's iconic hexagonal grille with C-shaped headlights, the XV also gets matte-black cladding on the front bumper and a new aluminium wheel design. Sitting in a wide and low stance, the XV combines advanced styling with superior aerodynamics while retaining the high ground clearance of 220mm.

Subaru is also introducing three new colors for the 2018 XV; they are Cool Gray Khaki, Sunshine Orange and Pure Red. This is in addition to Quartz Blue Pearl, Dark Blue Pearl, Crystal White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Dark Gray Metallic and Crystal Black Metallic.

^CVT, I would think, as there isn't a Subaru which is not CVT.

First Drive: 2018 Subaru XV 2.0i-S

Like its exterior, the 2018 Subaru XV’s interior is largely the Impreza’s, and that’s a good thing. It feels cutting edge from its choice of materials to the layout and design. The chrome, carbon fiber, aluminum, and high-gloss black accents all blend together creating a high-tech look without compromising on two brand hallmarks: space and visibility. Compared to the cut-and-dried interiors of past Subarus, there’s a bit of learning curve in here, especially when it comes to operating the various LCD screens (there are three). But once you figure out which button or toggle switch operates which screen, it’s all a cinch. There are also new interior elements that add a dose of fun like the orange stitching on the dashboard and seats, orange highlights on the instrument cluster, and the hexagonal pattern on the perforated leather seats.
Looking forward to the September launch.

There's actually no eyesight on our local version and no more sunroof either kahit pa sa top trim

Yes, I have a picture of the 2018 Subaru XV already and it does look like chrome door handles are used this time around.

Ayaw ko lang yung sunshine orange. Mas gusto ko ng tangerine orange, hehe. It's nice to know this is on the top of your lost as I can say the same on mine. Para kasing ang konti lang nagrerecommend ng XV dito sa tsikot. Feature-wise I think mas marami ang 2018 XV compared to its competitors.

Hehe you're going for the orange? you'll definitely stand out :D

If we do decide to get this, it's probably going to be the cool grey khaki or silver lang, opposite end tayo pagdating sa color hehe

Wala nga masyado nagrerecommend ng XV, probably because of the following:

    1. Price almost overlaps with the base model forester and even the new gas version CRV tapos cargo room is smaller.
    2. Small engine for the price kasi lagi icocompare sa PPV, hindi pa diesel
    3. Brand reputation - tingin ng mga tao more expensive ang vehicles and maintenance ng Subaru. Even me, I am a bit worried about the cost of long term maintenance specially ng AWD, I don't really need it but it's good to have hehe
    4. Alanganin ang size/price. Kumbaga parang hindi practical as a family vehicle and a bit too expensive for a younger person naman.

    What I like about it:

    1. Class leading safety features (which a lot of people locally don't even consider)
    2. Ground clearance - class leading I think
    3. AWD - in times of need I will only be using this car for recreation, errands etc...
    4. The new platform and modern interior - plan on keeping this vehicle for a while
    5. Expecting it to retain its relative uniqueness in our local market, for the reasons sa first part mentioned above

I do think lamang siya sa iba feature wise dn, I believe siya lang ang may sunroof? Very capable AWD too, although didn't really look closely at other cars in its class kasi ang tinitingnan ko na isa pa is the Mazda CX-5 FWD Pro hehe

No, I don't like the Sunshine Orange If it was the Tangerine Orange, I can still think about it. Regardless though, I think it would be harder to sell a 2nd hand Orange vehicle when it's time to let it go.

    1) I really can't stand how bland the Forester looks like. Is the cargo room of the 2018 XV really that small? I read that they made it bigger already, right?

    2) But the engine is adequate for its form factor (CUV), right?

    3) I totally agree with the cost of maintenance of Subarus. This would be my first car purchase and I'm not really a car enthusiast so I still need a lot to learn.

    4) I can consider myself a "younger person" and yes the price is kinda steep.

And I also agree with the thinga that you like. Technology in the inside is very important for me. Kulang lang talaga ng Eyesight. If it had Eyesight, sobrang wala na talaga akong titignan na iba, lol.

I checked CX5 too pero ayaw ko yung internal niya, sobrang bland din. Pero the external looks beautiful. Many people also recommend me to go with the Civic pero ang daming features ang wala niya compared sa XV kaya I'm still having second thoughts although pogi talaga siya
