Bumigay last week compressor ng AC ko, will take 2 weeks for the replacement part to arrive. Simtomas is theres a RRRRR sound or like a little toy motorcycle sound coming from the dash area na sumasabay sa rev ng engine. Then when you open the hood, tunog bakal na nagkikiskisan when you turn on the A/C.

buti warranty, but how come madali masira ang compressor, its just 17 months old and 11k mileage..sana isolated case lang.

Mine is a 2012 model. I also had a problem with a noise under hood (when the engine is still cold) and the noise comes to life when the a/c is turned on. Similarly to yours, the volume of the noise increases as you rev the engine. They replaced the entire a/c compressor unit. Noise is gone. Take note, this happened on the very first day I drove the car out of the casa.

Subaru's quality seems to be bad or declining, judging by the comments here and my own experience so far.

I have no major problems with my fxt, Mpg/power ratio is good, there is goobs space, ride and handling is supreb, it drives like a sedan, plus the subaru badge is a plus. whether we like it or not, all cars will have problems sooner or later, magtabi lang talaga for maintainance.

All cars, whether we like it or not, will have problems. Sooner or later, Thats why we save up for maintainance.

True, but I don't see anyone from other CUV's posting AC compressor problem. Baka sa design nang boxer engine nang Forrester ang problem. You get my point as well? kaya valid yung concern nung nagpost a while back.

Maybe, at least its not a safety issue like in montero's or camry's acceleration issues, either way, its always wise to have a fund for maintainance.

They have a promo earlier this year, got mine this june, free change oil upto 10k kms, 3 years warranty on parts etc. my wife's family has an auto shop (for basic maintainance) and i used to have a tenant that owns a servitech now(for wheel balancing, camber etc)btw, What some people do every pms is ask a qoutation from the dealer, then go to fusion r(subaru specialist) much cheaper. They have oem and aftermarket parts there.
