Hi guys, i am planning to remove the roof rails of my xv and painting my roof black for a more sporty look. Sabi ng SA mahirap na daw kasi nakabolt na ung rails sa roof. Have anyone tried removing the rails? What do you guys think ...

Hi, i'm new here. But I've been reading the threads for about 2 months now before I decided to push thru with purchase of an XV. Thanks everyone for all the comments and recommendations. They were useful for me.

Dewar, regarding your question of removing the roof rails, that was also what I wanted to do due to the height restriction we have in our office building parking lot. Both GH and BGC initially told me that it was possible, but then eventually said that there will be holes from the screws and water could get it which will not be included in the warranty. I even asked if they had a cover for the holes but they didn't.

Hi to all. I just want to ask. Does anyone hear a faint n quick noise at the engine at reaching the first 40kmh after first start? Cuz I do any subaru fort said it's normal and all units of XV have that sound. Pls let me know if u guys also hear a sound.

Just wanted to check if the standard model which doesnt have the sidemirror with lights has a repeater ligt on th side?

Do you have any idea or how kuch will it cost to install one?
Will it void the warranty?

What did MI say the noise was? Could it be the aircon magnetic clutch?

Have you been to the dealer to inspect a standard model? I think that is the best way to find out. I just saw a new standard XV today and it has the repeater lights at the fenders.

Guys,
Just want to update.
Already bought accessories for our xv:
Scuff plates for the doors
Mudguards
Rain visor but will be delivered as the one with chrome trims, will wait for it.
Was able to ask for the price through the link above and were able to get a good deal and help from Anson and his boys, thanks a lot Anson for the help.


To add i bought the stepsil from Sharkphils to add protection on the bumper when loading things.

Next project is cargo tray, matting.....

So far no major problems encountered.the only problem is when the gasoline boy did not close the fuel tank properly, check engine light will turn on. ill only remove the battery terminal and after a few seconds it is ok.maintenace is a little expensive compared to other japanese brand. But i buy my own cabin filter and air clearner so My 10km change oil is less than 6k.
