March 29th, 2013 05:55 PM #3281The valve cover gasket is just the superficial gasket that runs around the top of the valve cover. Here it is, newly replaced (with white seal) on my unit:
Sa aircon, normal po na unang masira ang #1 because it is the one with the highest resistance. The resistor is working hard to lower the speed. When you run the fan at high speed, the resistor just lets all the current pass through. Repairable po iyan sa aircon shop.
If front a/c is colder than rear a/c, the expansion valve might need replacement at the next a/c cleaning session.[/QUOTE]

Few pages back palang yun

That's in Chinatown, right?
Low speed/climbing overheat is a circulation problem. Baka po water pump or radiator na barado.
Clutch fan meron sa banawe nun. But if you buy the new fan, you have to buy the new fan blade also.
Ok dun.

They say Evercool is ok. But I used Three Star brand from Korea which was what we could find in Banawe. Evercool was being sold at Php10k in Banawe so I passed. Three Star didn't have the thicker radiator that the MB100 uses locally, all they had was the standard thickness radiator. But Three Star is a reputable company so I got it anyway.
Clutch fan of the MB100 is now a viscous fluid type manufactured by GMB. The old bearing type clutch fan was made by BEHR. If you change clutch fan, you need to change the fan blades as the BEHR used a different hub from the GMB.
Yes, stop leak will kill your radiator. After my new radiator, no more overheat problems running at top speed with lights and sirens.
Old radiator. Notice how much thicker it is. All local (CMC) units used this kind of radiator:
Updated fan clutch by GMB. It came in the OEM Ssangyong packaging:
