SMB lives another day!!! 2-3 na!
congrats to the alaska aces! 13th championship na pala iyan?!!! galing naman
to think na pinakawalan ng smb sina tenorio at fonacier....i can't wrap my lil ole head around the reason for that move
congrats sa mga alaska fans. . .malakas! (contains all the letters in "alaska")
SMB have some of the best players in the PBA but the coach seems to be very good that they keep on losing.
medyo 'di ko lang nasundan ang top teams to pick sa dami ng wheeling and dealing prior to the exit of sta lucia and the old purefoods team
aside from the top usual suspects in the draft, meron daw filfor na mala-caidic ang pulso. marami may interes sa kanya nakalimutan ko lang ang pangalan
Sino itong mga picks ng BGK?
Barangay Ginebra picked Rob Labagala then John Wilson and Jimbo Aquino, last year’s NCAA season MVP and Finals MVP at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively.
Kumuha sila ng mas bata, to man the shaded area.
what is Air21 up to?? bakit hindi si Rabeh ang ginawa nilang #1 pick?? pinasama lang nila yung loob nung tao.. eh to think sa kanila din maglalaro yun..
grabe si caidic. 14 3 pts. hahaha. wala parin kupas.

MANILA, Philippines -- “It was all Trigger, Trigger, Trigger.”
This was how NBA legend Glen Rice aptly called the show that his teammate "Triggerman" Allan Caidic pulled off in leading the Red Team to a 177-167 win against the White Team in the NBA Asia Challenge 2010 Friday night at the Araneta Coliseum.
Rice, a sweet-shooter himself, was in awe of Caidic’s shooting display as the 47-year-old PBA legend dropped 54 points on 14 three-pointers in just 24 minutes of play.
Caidic, who holds the all-time local scoring record in the PBA with 79 points, showed why he was called the Triggerman.
“My best and worst memory of this game is the Triggerman. I hate that guy,” White Team’s Chris Webber jokingly said after the game.
Caidic drilled in 6 three-pointers in the first half to keep the Red Team within striking distance of the White Team, who led 94-92 at the half.
Then Caidic added 8 more as Gary Payton and Glen Rice repeatedly looked for him in the second half.
It was still tight at the end of the third period as both teams locked 124-124.
NBA D-League star and former PBA import Richie Frahm even stopped at one point during the fourth period to get his jersey signed by Caidic, who was resting on the bench.
It worked wonders as Frahm connected on consecutive three-pointers to pull the White Team within 144-147.
Then Caidic checked back in and the Red Team’s lead ballooned to 13, 161-148, after Caidic dropped back-to-back three-pointers of his own with 4:05 left.

scored on a layup that was credited to Caidic.
Caidic sank 14 of 26 three-pointers and made all his 6 other field goals inside the arc to go with 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal against only a single turnover in the free-flowing game that saw 7
deadlocks and 19 lead changes.
“We heard a lot about him (Caidic) and those were proven true tonight. Man, he was just incredible,” said Payton, who had 7 points and 6 assists.
Rice made 5 three-pointers and finished with 19 points on top of 8 rebounds and 5 assists all of them issued to Caidic.
“I’ll be telling and keep on telling about the Triggerman,” said Rice, who lost to Caidic in the three-point shootout side event, 5-7, during the break.
“Na-inspire ako sa game ‘nung nakita kong pinapasa nila sa Glen (Rice), Gary (Payton) ang bola. The pressure was there to make the shot and I’m happy that we had this opportunity to showcase Filipino talent [before NBA greats],” Caidic said.
Fortune Cookie's misfortunes
It was the same pressure that his teammate Atoy Co, the 59-year-old PBA legend, felt when he went 0-of-15 before making his first shot in the game.
Co, who was called Fortune Cookie during his heydays with the legendary Crispa Redmanizers, was the other Filipino who stole the show as the crowd and his NBA legend teammates egged him to keep on firing.
The 1979 PBA MVP who was known for his fadeaway jump shots and was tagged as the best shooter in the league in his prime, made his first shot at the 5:24 mark of the third period and the crowd roared in approval.

Co finished with 10 points on 5-of-21 shooting.
“To be playing at that age [59] is a blessing. I don’t know if I can still play the game when I reach that age,” said Webber, who had 24 points on an array of jumpers and dunks, to pace the losing squad.
Webber confessed that it was his first game in 2 years.
The other NBA legend in the White Team, Mitch Richmond, who told one of the NBA Asia staff that he would top score this game, failed on his promise as he only made 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
“I played terrible out there. Now I’m making excuses. But seriously, this is a historical moment for us. I never imagined playing in the same building where Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier fought in the [classic] Thrilla in Manila. This is something, which I will tell my kids and my grandkids,” Richmond said.
Richmond and all the three NBA legends shared they had fun going up and down and interacting with the most rabid basketball fans in Asia.
"Thank you [Filipino fans]. We can't wait to come back here," Rice said.

Wala nang tatalo dyan kay Triggerman. Wala pang pwedeng pumalit sa kanyang trono.......![]()
i read sa column ni TJ Manotoc, “Whether he was picked at No.1 or No. 21, he should feel blessed. If he thinks he should be No.1, well, we don’t think so. In the PBA, attitude is No. 1 and that’s what we plan to teach him starting now.” from Allan Gregorio Governor of Air21(Atenista din).
i can somewhat understand the psychological ploy the air 21 management dished out on al-hussaini to drive a searing point, but what i can't understand is the supposed rift between the two (baclao and al-hussaini) that's being played up by whomever in the media. i mean the guys were practically bunk mates in college!Baclao, Al-Hussaini sign P8.7-M, 3-year PBA deal

Two days after the biggest surprise in the history of the PBA Rookie Draft was made, Air21 has signed up top overall pick Nonoy Baclao and a discontented No. 2 choice Rabeh Al-Hussaini to a maximum deal given to a newcomer.
Each player agreed to a three-year deal worth P8.7-million.
This was confirmed by Air21 team manager Allan Gregorio to GMANews.TV through a text message.
Considered the best frontline combo in Ateneo's back-to-back championships in the UAAP for the past two years, the rift between Baclao and Al-Hussaini was considered the best kept secret in the Eagles' camp.
The two reportedly even came to blows during practice and didn't get along since then.
But Gregorio believes the first practice session on Tuesday was a good start not only for the two rookies at odds, but also the whole team.
"Everything is fine. They're very professional and we are starting on the right track," said Gregorio.
Rey Guevarra, who was selected third overall by the Express, was also signed to a three-year, P6-million deal.
Two more rookies were also signed up in the first working day of the week Tuesday – Rain or Shine's rookie picks Josh Vanlandingham and RJ Jazul.
Vanlandingham, picked fifth in the Draft, and Jazul, the former Smart-Gilas national developmental team standout selected in the second round by the Elasto Painters, were also signed to a three-year pact. - JVP, GMANews.TV
regarding his attitude, sa palagay ko makikita ni coach yeng ang magandang work ethic ni rabeh eventually. in ateneo, he was almost always the first to report for practice and he was more often than not, the last to leave the gym. his stellar play in the last two seasons of his collegiate career is a testament to his industrious outlook. if you can remember, this skinny kid (back then) was the laughing stock of ateneo basketball in his early years at loyola heights. he turned this situation around because he listened to coach norman and gutted it out day-in and day-out to become the main man of the blue eagles
