as expected.. #1 pick si JV Casio..
24 out of the 34 draftees were picked..
1st round
2nd roundJV Casio goes to Powerade..landing second in the drafting was Paul Lee who went to Rain or Shine, followed by Chris Lutz for Petron, Marcio Lassiter for Powerade, Mark Barroca for Shopinas, Mac Baracael for Alaska, Jason Ballesteros for Meralco, Allain Maliksi for Barako Bull, Reil Cervantes for Ginebra and Dylan Ababou for Barako Bull.
hmm anak na yata ni Ato Agustin yang si Marc Agustin..Picked in the second round were Magi Sison for Shopinas, Pamboy Raymundo for Talk N Text, Erik Salamat for Alaska, Julius Pasculado for Alaska, Ariel Mepana again for Alaska, Brian Ilad for B-Meg, Gilbert Bulawan for Meralco, James Martinez for Ginebra, Ken Acibar for Barako Bull, Paul Sorongan for Barako Bull and Marc Agustin for Powerade.
3rd round
Hontiveros back to SMB, Pennisi back to RedBull...Teams started passing up in the third round with Marc Cagoco landing with Shopinas and Felimon Fernandez with Petron, and also in the fourth and final round where Gerald Lapus rounded out this year’s draftees with Petron.
There was a lot of wheeling and dealing that took place on the D-Day, almost leaving the pre-arranged drafting order in a shambles.
But the biggest was that between Petron and Barako, involving a couple of marquee players, and draft picks that won’t come until 2014.
Petron, the newly crowned Governors Cup champion, acquired Dondon Hontiveros, Carlo Sharma and Lutz from Barako Bull, which in turn got Mick Pennisi and Sunday Salvacion on top of a first-round draft and whoever Petron picks in the second round in 2014.
It’s a sweet homecoming for Hontiveros, who was in Cebu, probably unaware of the development. When he returns to Manila tomorrow, he’ll be reporting directly to Petron, actually his old home when it carried the San Miguel banner.
The same goes with Pennisi who will return home to Barako Bull, the George Chua-owned franchise that took him in 11 years ago.
Trades were also consummated between Talk N Text and Meralco, sending Shawn Weinstein and Bam Gamalinda to the Tropang Texters. Meralco used the bait to pick Ballesteros in the first round.
more trades..
OT.. here's Barroca and his gf Ruselle Alinea..Meanwhile, playmaker Mark Barroca, who was picked No. 5 overall by Shopinas last Sunday, will end up playing for B-Meg after all.
“We’re trading Barroca to B-Meg,” said Shopinas head coach Franz Pumaren yesterday.
The trade is part of a previous agreement between Shopinas (then Barako Bull) and B-Meg, and one that involved former Ateneo star Rich Alvarez.
In return, Shopinas will get forward Brian Ilad plus one more player from B-Meg, and it could be anyone among big men Rommel Adducul, Don Allado, Jonathan Fernandez or Val Acuna.

Jong Uichico tipped to steer B-Meg | Inquirer Sports
Jong Uichico tipped to steer B-Meg
HONG KONG—All indications point to seasoned Barangay Ginebra mentor Jong Uichico taking up the head-coaching duties at B-Meg starting this season in the Philippine Basketball Association.
San Miguel Corp. officials are said to keep a very short list of possible replacements for Jorge Gallent, who will slide down to assistant coach after compiling a 20-24 record in his first season as PBA head coach.
The prospects of Uichico coaching a third San Miguel team in his career loomed large after Siot Tanquingcen was named as his co-head coach at Ginebra.
That left Uichico, Gee Abanilla of Petron and Richard Del Rosario, one of Gallent’s deputies at B-Meg, as the remaining candidates.
Uichico, the most experienced in the group, commands a lot of respect from the players, making him the most logical choice to succeed Gallent.
Gallent enjoyed unprecedented success as a coach of Harbour Centre in the defunct Philippine Basketball League, but his stint on the
B-Meg bench was wracked by injuries to several key players.
Under Gallent’s watch, B-Meg floundered as injuries sidelined Kerby Raymundo, former Rookie of the Year Rico Maierhofer and two-time MVP James Yap.
The Llamados finished fourth in the Philippine Cup, seventh in the Commissioner’s Cup and sixth in the Governors’ Cup last season.
Uichico has won a total of eight titles so far, including six with San Miguel Beer and three with the Gin Kings.
Ramon S. Ang, president and CEO of San Miguel Corp., told reporters last week that Gallent’s replacement “will come from within the (San Miguel) family.”
The rumor mills still churned, however, and linked Alaska coach Tim Cone to the job.
Cone still has a live contract with the only team he has coached for since 1989.
na solve na ba yung mystery why barroca was "suddenly" removed from the FEU varsity squad and the Baracael shooting incident?
mukhang baka susundan itong mga players na ito ng mga mumu ng nakaraan dyan sa PBA

si Richard Del Rosario na daw head coach nang B-Meg.. ano na kaya mangyayari kay Jong..
