Beneficiaries of the charitable Alex Compton must be fervently praying that he will be finally allowed to play for Welcoat in the PBA.
In all his years as a cager, the kind-hearted Alex has always donated a significant portion of his monthly salary to the needy.
With a bigger salary in the PBA, more people will benefit from it.
I believe Alex’s case should be considered special. Many months ago, player agent Danny Espiritu conducted a survey among PBA players to find out if they were agreeable to having Alex included in their ranks. The result was positive. There were a lot more players who said “yes” than “no.”

THERE'S one blockbuster trade being cooked up during the PBA's board meeting that nearly overshadowed Alex Compton's possible entry in the Asia's first professional league.
Romel Adducul of Ginebra and Raffi Reavis of Coca-Cola were reportedly being dangled in a trade, but it has yet to materialize as they need one more team for it to push through.
Sister teams Ginebra and Coca-Cola cannot directly get involved in a trade based on the PBA rulings and they need one more team to get things done.
But which will be the third team to be involved?
