they're sill alive, probably because of their naturally good genes. "survival of the fittest."
also, we had two world wars and several pockets of wars, to help decimate the population. so, we can't really isolate the factors that led to their survival.

since we can't duplicate conditions of a hundred years ago, any "study" today may be fraught with fault.

If they survived the various influenza, smallpox, TB, cholera, etc, epidemics of the last 100 years, you can bet that they have a better immune system than most.

Also, take note that what worked for their longevity may not work for you (no vaccines, following the same diet, etc).

Btw, aling pag-aaral ang nagsasabing masama sa katawan ang bakuna?

he probably doesn't realize that he probably owes his life to vaccines.
if there weren't no vaccines, he might never have been born.
in pre-vaccination europe, it was estimated that one in two children died by age 15.

    "foot-in-mouth disease."

vaccines increased the life expectancy of billions of people

people who were supposed to die of smallpox, measles etc didn't die and lived on to produce offspring who also didn't die coz of vaccines and lived on to produce offspring...

tapos eto mga tao na nabubuhay ngayon thanks to vaccines, pinagdududahan nila ang bakuna

    galing no?

    balik tayo sa middle ages

Vaccines have put the brakes on natural selection, allowing inferior specimens to live longer and thrive. Just look at all the politicans.

They may have some unknown side effects but the alternative is the certainty of potentially dying from a deadly pathogen or becoming disfigured from something like Polio. Sooo... pick your poison? Imho not a choice, really. But they do still need to look into possible connections to Autism, etc.

yes i agree vaccines (along with other things like plumbing/sanitary sewer systems, antibiotics, better nutrition etc) allowed humans to beat natural selection

people who were supposed to be eliminated by infectious disease before reproductive age live long enough to have offspring and their offspring also live long enough to have offsping...

kaya ang dami tao sa mundo

it took decades of scientific advancement so people can live long enough to die of cardiovascular disease and cancer

people no longer die of infectious disease kasi

kaya if you wanna depopulate the world, alisin mo ang vaccines and antibiotics and sanitation

balik tayo sa panahon ng Black Death and plague

A good smallpox plague will kill even the most "fit". Bring polio back into the mix and those who are "strong" enough to survive won't be prime reproductive material.

    -

We should no longer be selecting for physical fitness. We can geneticall engineer that.

We should be selecting for brains.

    Best long term survival strategy.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
