    Dentist claims breast rubs appropriate
    10/14/2007 | 09:47 PM

WOODLAND, Calif. - A dentist accused of fondling the breasts of 27 female patients is trying to keep his dental license by arguing that chest massages are an appropriate procedure in certain cases. Mark Anderson's lawyer says dental journals discuss the need to massage the pectoral muscles to treat a common jaw problem.

Police say Anderson said during recorded phone calls that he routinely massaged patients' chests to treat temporo-mandibular joint disorder, or TMJ, which causes neck and head pain.

Attorney Robert Zaro told administrative law judge Jonathan Lew at a hearing Thursday that he should let Anderson keep his dental license while disciplinary appeals proceed. Anderson would be supervised by two assistants and would no longer do the chest rubs, Zaro said.

Zaro said Anderson, 48, of Woodland, needs to keep seeing patients so he can feed his seven children and pay for his defense.

The judge made no immediate decision.

Lew suspended Anderson's dental license last month. He was charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery and ***ual battery. Yolo County prosecutors are investigating complaints from more than two dozen women who say they also were groped in the examining chair in the last five years.

Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Phillips gave Lew three new complaints, including one from a 31-year-old woman who said Anderson fondled her at least six times over two years.

She took to wearing tight shirts with high necklines, "and Anderson would still get in under her shirt and bra," according to a police report. - AP

there is a massage to help release TMD (temporo mandibular joint disorder), but this doesnt include fondling the breast. And in no may will the hands of the operator come near the breast of the patients in any procedure.

usually i put a drape and a clean paper towel above the drape to prevent the clothes of the patient from the splatter of fluids including blood during teeth cleaning and extraction.

tender loving care doesnt include breast massage, we are dentist not masseur =)

Few months ago yung ortho ng anak ko eh na alis sa clinic nila. My daughter stayed with the same branch pero new dentist. Now nag text sa kanya yung old dentist nya after few. months to warn her na fake dentist yung pumalit sa kanya at fake diploma. Yung old dentist naman hindi naman kinukuha daughter ko as a client kasi nga daw wala na sya sa company na yun.

My wife said let's just find a new dentist. Ang arrangement kasi sa old clinic ng daughter ko eh paid lump sum for the initial kabit ng brace and ₱1k per adjustment every few weeks.

Pano kaya lumipat ng ibang clinic nito? Sasaluhin ba ng new dentist/clinic every adjustment and just pay for each adjustment? Or is this a new contract? A new lump sum? We need to find a new dentist dahil hindi pwede matagal na walang checkup at baka mag over yung mga current adjustment/elastic ng braces nya.

It will be totally new, parang nasa ethics nila not to continue with braces that another dentist started

A similar thing happened to me, my Lola kinda got mad at my dentist who was then doing my braces, already paid 50% down plus partial payment every adjustment. My new dentist completely removed my old braces and paid for a new one. Goodbye down payment (not sure if you can ask partial refund from the old clinic)

"fake" can come in several layers or definitions.
if you are really interested, you may ask the old dentist, what he meant by "fake".
it might not be as bad as you might think.

is it possible to follow the old dentist who installed the appliance?
it is an age-old practice in the medical field.
we follow the specialist when he moves clinic.

This the initial text of the old dentist.
    received_1155183355478432.jpg

When we asked if we can transfer to her, this is her reply.

Andun naman daw sa PRC yung name nung new dentist according to my wife. And mukhang legit naman yung Facebook page ng new dentist. Ewan ko na lang kung nag assume ng identity yung new dentist?

It seems disgruntled ex employee itong old dentist.

based on the tone of the text messages,
it would seem that there is more to it than face value.
internal strife, if i am right.
    personal versus professional issues.

and you-the-patient are caught in the middle.

Old dentist sounds unprofessional. I've NEVER heard a medical doctor ever bad mouth a fellow MD, even if we complained about the previous doctor

My boy needs to be freed so he can be trained in mammography. 1 less doctor's appointment if he can do both 🤷*♀️
