Nung bata ako, we usually drink Chinese herbal medicines pag may sakit, ang maganda kasi dito walang side effect... and it works.

OK lang if effective pero sana hindi misleading as in they do away with traditional medicine tapos lumala tuloy. Options are always good as long as assessed properly.

Herbal concoctions may also be very potent so it does not mean they are harmless if used indiscriminately.

    2 cent's worth lang po...

For those willing to try, there is a clinic in Pasig which advocates the use of food to cure the various illness that afflicts us. Its called Wellness Institute, it calls for the use of natural foods, like vegetables and fruits to cleanse our body of toxins in our eating of processed food, they aim to train you to refrain from processed foods and eat natural foods instead. They have a program for people to lose weight, thru the use of natural fruit and vegetable juice in your diet to lose as much as 1 pound a day for 7 days. Have tried their gallstone flush, to use olive oil and fruit juices to remove gallstones in your system without surgery, you can realy feel the stones disintegrate and in 3-4 hrs flush out of your system thru your bowel, all for a cost of only 1.5k instead of surgery costing 60k to 80k. This could give hospitals and traditional doctors a run for their money. They have this theory, that doctors here have been trained to use commercial medications in all their treatments, because drug companies trained them to do so, neglecting the use of cheaper and readily available natural cures. Just a thought.

And financial reasons are not entirely to blame. Kahit ibang pay patients medyo matigas ang ulo. Though we respect their beliefs, it also pays to see a doctor before starting alternative medicine regimens/practices.
