Nung bata ako, we usually drink Chinese herbal medicines pag may sakit, ang maganda kasi dito walang side effect... and it works.

I read somethin' about this before. kung ayaw ng body mo, the taste or the chemical itself, what benefit will it bring? dapat kasi tanggap both mind & body before it takes effect. I know a few people who enjoy eating raddish and oatmeals and maganda talaga circulation ng body nila. pero nun ti-nry ko ayaw ko eh. wag mo pilitin ...

OK lang if effective pero sana hindi misleading as in they do away with traditional medicine tapos lumala tuloy. Options are always good as long as assessed properly.

Herbal concoctions may also be very potent so it does not mean they are harmless if used indiscriminately.

    2 cent's worth lang po...

cupping? don't worry, i'm not going there. is that the one where they rub oil on your back, then use those little glasses as suction cups? nung nagpapa-rehab ako for back pains (herniated/torn discs), my doctor suggested that i try it along with acupuncture. to be honest, it didn't really do me any good, kasi i was so tense dahil sa mga needles, lalong nag-cramp yung mga muscles ko. what worked best for me was a full body massage and stretching.

For those willing to try, there is a clinic in Pasig which advocates the use of food to cure the various illness that afflicts us. Its called Wellness Institute, it calls for the use of natural foods, like vegetables and fruits to cleanse our body of toxins in our eating of processed food, they aim to train you to refrain from processed foods and eat natural foods instead. They have a program for people to lose weight, thru the use of natural fruit and vegetable juice in your diet to lose as much as 1 pound a day for 7 days. Have tried their gallstone flush, to use olive oil and fruit juices to remove gallstones in your system without surgery, you can realy feel the stones disintegrate and in 3-4 hrs flush out of your system thru your bowel, all for a cost of only 1.5k instead of surgery costing 60k to 80k. This could give hospitals and traditional doctors a run for their money. They have this theory, that doctors here have been trained to use commercial medications in all their treatments, because drug companies trained them to do so, neglecting the use of cheaper and readily available natural cures. Just a thought.

And financial reasons are not entirely to blame. Kahit ibang pay patients medyo matigas ang ulo. Though we respect their beliefs, it also pays to see a doctor before starting alternative medicine regimens/practices.

30 minutes treadmill four times a week, patay lahat ng illness nyo. last year sumasakit ang batok ko lalo na pag galit or worried ako tapos nahihilo ako na parang nagdidilim ang paningin ko. sabi ng doctor, delikado daw katawan ko kahit ambata ko pa high-blood na daw ko. and I was also becoming diabetic kasi pag kumakain ako ng chocolate sumasakit yun buong area around my right eye.

    now it's all gone.

the secret, pump more oxygen through your veins by controlling your breathing. sya yun mag-melt ng mga clogs or namumuo clogs sa mga veins or arteries nyo. then wash out with water.

    Placebo...

Some may work though, but kung alternative talaga habol, i'd trust a bonafide chinese traditional medicine over all these hyped up products...

Tawag nila SUPPLEMENT, and naka lagay sa label "NO THERAPEUTIC CLAIMS"

    Pero sa commercial... "GUMALING AKO!!!"

tama si otep minsan pag ala ng pera ang tao or the doctors declared that he patient will soon die, patients resort to alternative treatments such as albularyo, magic potions, healing dilutes, etc it also boils down to our faith with God or whoever who we believe in that we will be healed=) through divine intervention perhaphs

fellow tsikoteers, as a physician, i suggest you avoid Osaka Iridology......it is a BIG FAKE

diseases CAN NOT be diagnosed by looking at the iris of the eyes only......AMA (American Medical Association) already outlawed and banned iridology in certain US states.....the only reason the philippine government or PMA (phil. medical association) can not ban iridology here is because there are big and powerfull people behind Osaka Iridology......

ask the Iridologist how many years of medical education they had.....

for the iridologist, shame on you.....do you really see something different on the patient's iris or do you only imagine your diagnosis base on the sign and symptoms? Shame on you people!

    Fear God.....

    thread ressurection... AGAIN!

My .02: Osaka, fake, yes... most of the stuff on TV, FAKE.

Fish Oil? Vitamin E? Sorry, medical research has shown that any anti-carcinogenic effects these have are spurious at best... still, it can't hurt to take Vitamin E in moderate doses anyway. Some nutritionists are worried, though, that overdosing on vitamins and supplements may impair your ability to absorb nutrients from food (oversaturation)

Anti-oxidants in teas and fruit are still the best bet for maintaining good health. Another less well known way to remove anti-oxidants is to donate blood at least once a year (not more than twice... this is bad for you!), as it lowers the iron level in your blood... hence, removes the oxidants that have already formed.

But you don't need to take supplements with complicated ingredients lists and prices to get your anti-oxidants... just stick to a vegetarian diet or semi-vegetarian diet with lots of fruit, ampalaya, etc... save yourself a couple of thousand pesos... also, don't eat so much rice, as the more calories you absorb, the faster oxidants build up in your body.

Accupuncture, accupressure and cupping DO work, but it's dependent on both the practitioner and the patient. My wife does this (cupping) on herself every now and then, and it helps mitigate back pains. There's a reason they offer this at spas. As for any effect beyond pain relief, nothing has been proven.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
