March 26th, 2009 11:30 AM #92hmmm....... my wife went through the procedure removing her apendix. i think that was around 2007. sabi nung doctor, sa loob daw ang ginawa nyang tahi para daw di mag-mark. mabilis naman nagheal yun wound but after 4 months na closed na yun wound meron ulit lumabas na suture, then after a year meron ulit, ngayon 2 years na meron ulit lumabas.
Medyo concerned din kasi kami since baka meron di maganda nangyari sa loob. Nung Inoperahan naman sya, she took her medications religiously. regular checkup din sa duktor na gumawa nung procedure. Bakit kaya ganon?

Si Loren Legarda ang tindi din daw ng banta, sabi daw ni Legarda "I will immediately revoke the PRC License of the Nurse who will commit even a small mistake..." eto yung kumakalat sa mag text at online fora.

Don't worry about your doctor's competence, minsan wala na rin sa kamay nya yun e. Sometimes things like those happen talaga. What might have happened is during wound healing, natunaw yung suture at umusli ang isang part ng suture sa labas ng sugat and since na-expose sya sa labas, tumigas ulit sya kaya di natunaw. I usually try to rotate the suture while gently pulling it.
Have you shown him the problem?
I advise you to see him again or any other doctor for that matter so they can remove the retained suture. Pwede kasing pagmulan ng infection yan pag di naalagaan at natanggal. We call it suture abscess.

Oops. I think I misunderstood your post.
May lumabas na suture tapos natanggal sya, tapos after a few months may lumabas ulit pero natanggal na din? Walang naiwan sa labas na ayaw matunaw?
That can happen din naman. Ang nangyari, di natunaw yung ibang parts ng suture kaya what the body does is remove the foreign substance slowly. Don't worry, that occasionally happens too. Just make sure there's no redness, pain, or pus around the scar which might signal another retained suture which became infected.
