    Iverson out against New York with sprained ankle

    January 28, 2006

    PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Allen Iverson sat out Philadelphia's game against the New York Knicks on Saturday night with a sprained left ankle.

    Iverson, second in the NBA in scoring at 33.6 points per game, was injured in the fourth quarter Thursday against Orlando. Iverson slid across the baseline and his left foot jammed into a stationary Dwight Howard. Iverson immediately grimaced in pain, hobbled down the line and around the right side of the court all the way to the bench.

    Iverson is day-to-day and might not make the trip to Orlando for Sunday's game.

    "Allen is one of the few guys that can tolerate a lot of pain," 76ers coach Maurice Cheeks said. "If Allen can't play, you know he's really, really hurt."

    Kevin Ollie started for Iverson.

    argh sprained ankle...kung ordinary player nasa 2-3 weeks yan...

    thank God naka 4-4 ako yesterday versus Ownertype...and my Charlotte guys are doing fine right now...

    si WallyWobley na lang ang out of sync right now.

    ouch, hope Iverson comes back next week...

    ano nakain ni Tyson Chandler? He has 4 double doubles in the past 4 games, with a high of 20 rebs in his game yesterday.

    NY's rotation is madening :mad:, even Quintel Woods gets a start and had a pretty good game today, Maurice Taylor started the past two games. I just dropped Frye for Blount, can't stand the incosistent minutes he's getting from LB, he may or may not have a big 2nd half depending on the minutes he gets.

    Raymond Felton has started to pick it up with a couple of big games in a row, he might be in store for a big 2nd half.

    Looks like Ricky Davis has found a home ni Minny...

    OK na sana Felton but his TO is quite high for me... Was thinking about Blount last night, tingin ko fluke performance lang... Hopefully not for ILD, but knowing his "ethic" there's NO WAY he'll get that much reb again...

    I don't really need Blount's rebounds, got enough of that already, Frye wasn't rebounding much anyway. He gives me 12-15pts 5-7rebs 1-2blks ok na am just asking for some consistency.
