hmm.. looks like you're having problems with waterspots. better increase your protection by slapping a durable wax or something like RainHop ng Soft99. in this way, you're putting on a sacrificial layer of protection. but honestly, waterspots have to be removed immediately before it etches deeper into the paint.
sometimes, after washing and drying your car, water can still remain in the crevices and between the nooks and crannies. water then trickles out sometimes causing runs and streaks which, if left uncared for, can cause defects in the future.
3M has a decent Scratch Remover for your minor scratches. you can also go for the cleaner wax route.Last edited by chain; June 16th, 2005 at 11:33 PM.

June 16th, 2005 10:29 PM #543There is one time nagalit talaga ako - pag traffic along coastal malapit sa coastal mall or sa baclaran area... may mga bata may dalang sponge soaked in water and some sort of detergent... they would literally wash your winshield at pag minalas ka, pati hood mo - I bet your hood would be swirl galore hehehe... not sure if you have experienced this
Me, I don't rinse its either I wash or not, I just wipe down the windows... one time after rinsing, I saw a lot of water spots the next day, air in our village is pretty salty.Last edited by ILuvDetailing; June 16th, 2005 at 10:32 PM.

this thought just occurred to me: while driving, do you find yourselves looking at other cars and observing their shine / depth? sometimes I see cars that have horrendous swirls even though they look freshly waxed / cleaned. or cars that are top of the line but look neglected even before the rainy season.

Yup I do that, Most of the cars I see are clean but a lot of them have swirls. I even saw a white Porsche Boxter in rockwell... guess what, it had a lot of swirls, florescent light really reveals a lot of imperfections.

ako naman, I observe the qualit of beading of water on other cars at the open ground parking lot in our office when its raining hehehe other cars water just dont bead
And when I'm driving in the rain, I take some time to look at my hood and how water beads. Its so amazing hehehe.
Also, after half a day of detailing... sometimes I just stand there looking and admiring the car standing or sitting in a position 5 - 10 minutes hehehe. My wife would just shout at me if she catches me there asking me if I have a problem or if I've gone crazy.
mahiwagang crystal ball talaga yun flourescent light, it tells you alot about your paint. and I call my CCD the magic wand of detailing hehehe... One slide, dust is gone
