Most likely the VM will diminish the durability of the UPP.. the latter needs an oil free surface to bond to.. pero definitely it should last more than a week.Originally Posted by patopig

pato: Just like what milky said, it sheets, also di basehan ang beading
ILD: bad...
Milky: Kala ko nasa HK ka?
I had the (wrong) impression before that only Klasse sheets.pato: Just like what milky said, it sheets, also di basehan ang beadingEhehehe. So do all sealants sheet or just some? Pano malalaman pag wala na protection ng mga ganito?
I normally try something different every (or every other) weekend so I rarely see beading go away. Kaya lang first few days sya, there were a lot of small uniformly formed beads and by last friday, all I saw were splotches of water. ehehe.
What is the best way to gauge if the paint is still protected aside from beading? TIA!![]()
1) enough na ba yung gaas and clean it with water/soap immediately
2) or, kelangan specialised product like 3M bug and tar remover?
3) or, kaya ba ito tanggalin ng clar bar?
pag may EB-detailing, pa-PM naman para makita ko auto ninyo hehe
thanks![]()

Usually pag wala na yung sealant, aside from the loss of beading parang the water sticks to the paint. If it sheets kasi mabilis din niya matanggal yung water from the surface.. and it's easier to wipe off too. I also find na it's harder to dry the car pag wala nang protection..Originally Posted by patopig
you can presoak it with an APC dilution pag sobrang stubborn then clay it. Usually kaya naman tanggalin ng clayOriginally Posted by revoGSX

usually, people associate beading with durability but that is not always the case when it comes to gauging a product's manner of protection since some products DO sheet after all. there are indicators that can tell you whether you have still something protecting your paint such as slickness, luster, appearance (gloss and reflectivity), whether the majority of it's shine is still present and the like.
usually, you'll notice that after some time, the coat that you layered on has "weathered" away. there'll be areas / patches on the surface where your wax / sealant is already gone. water doesn't seem to slide anymore, it just stays put. so drying your car takes longer. if you put on fillers, the swirls start to show up (again!).
trust me, you'll be able to tell. it's just not the same kasi hehehe.
haha second nature na sa atin yanOriginally Posted by dehadista

sa kin namin, sometimes its water beading(when raining or rinsing), sometimes i "feel" it by gliding my fingers. sometimes during washing/dryng you can "feel" its still there. sometimes, when you look under the sun or under a flourescent light source you can "see" it. basta! like what dehadista said you'll be able to tell![]()
revoGSX: Sama ka sa EB, the more the merrier. For those asphalt marks, claying will do, medyo matrabaho lang but its all worth it. after claying make sure to polish and wax the surface for protection.
Tama sila, you'll know just by "feel" if there is still wax. Pero di ko pa namaster yung "feel" I just wax every week or every other week.
guys....another question. it's going on two weeks since i did my full detail and since then my cars have gone through dust, rain, heat and hurricane conditions.
i'm going to hit them again with a quick 'touch-up'. what would you recommend?
i was thinking wash with a wax-friendly auto soap, and just apply another coat of klasse sealant glaze (tag-ulan dito so hold off muna on the carnauba).
feedback?
