20k nga lang ba life ng iridiums? bakit parang dinig ko ay 100k ang buhay nito? kasi when i put a set in my revo before, i saw that it was rated until 100k.

Zeagle ganda ng review mo, I really liked it, it answered a lot of my questions kasi I am planning to buy a mini-SUV and Xtrail along with the escape are on the top of my list. Zeagle I know its a little far fetched but will you be able to compare these 2 SUVs? Compare the escape 3.0 vs. xtrail 250x? Which is better? Ano ang mas walng sakit ng ulo? Thanks....good review talaga....

Bro yung iridium nakakabit sa car like RAV4, Camry, etc. from planta is long life. 100k km ang life nun. Yung after market iridium is 20k km lang. Ayaw ipasok yung long life dito for obvious reasons.

About your revo if it is after market, cgurado ako 20k km lang yun. Not unless sa planta nakuha yan.

    Salamat bro!

Bro I also considered the Escape and this is how I ended up getting the Xtrail.

    1. In the looks department, it all depends on your taste. Do you want the traditional or the innovative.

    a. The escape looks more solid, bigger and macho. The fenders have plastic mouldings/flares. The xtrail is bare except for the plastic front fenders.

    b. Interior of the escape is very traditional typical american though the finish looks solid. Walang dating para sa akin. You either love or hate the xtrail's interior. Plastiky as in puro plastic talaga and the weird center instrument cluster. Para sa akin it looks cool! The xtrail's interior have a lot of innovative features like the driver compartment, cup holder, drink cooler, washable trunk, etc. Para sa akin, you are buying an SUV that you would like to trash around. Maputikan, matapunan ng gatas ng bata at matanda, etc. ok lang. Just wipe it out tapos. Even though the escape looks bigger, parang roomier ang xtrail.

    c. Finally, the leather seats. Compare mo yung dalawa and definitely mas dumihin ang leather ng escape.

    2. Engine: Comparing the V6 (204 bhp) and the 2.5l (180 bhp). This is just my hunch that the power to weight ratio favors the xtrail. The xtrail's body is super light. Fuel consumption also favors the xtrail. Maintenance favors the xtrail. So value for bhp, the xtrail is a definite winner. I compared the typical PMS of Ford and Nissan. Cheaper ang Nissan by at least 20%. E sa spark plug lang +2 palagi ang Escape. After the warranty period, its a lot easier to DIY xtrails engine than Ford. Changing the fan belt alone halos impossible na to change (exaggerated). BTW, my friend had his Escape dyno tested. 130 hp ang output from the wheels. Ang laki ng loss.

    3. Quality: These companies are ISO/QS 9000 blah blah. Quality is almost the same. When I say almost the same, I mean one cannot brag that they are far superior than the other. Your chances of getting a lemon are the same. Lahat ng manufacturers produce a lemon. No exception! Malas malas lang talaga.

In the end, it is really a matter of preference. Kung saan ka mag-enjoy mag drive duon ka. Sa Escape nga lang, ready ka sa operating expense.

I don't think it would be advisable to install strut bars especially on normal driving conditions but thats just me . Am also planning to get Iridiums, would a Denso be a better choice than NGK?

    c. Finally, the leather seats. Compare mo yung dalawa and definitely mas dumuhin ang leather ng escape.
Leather seats for the escape is color beige (tama ba? light colored) while the X-trail has the black leather seats.
