Zeagle, that was a comprehensive feedback on your X. Thanks for all those info.

This caught my attention. Can you check this out on your 250x: With a/c on, shift to Drive, remain stepping on the brakes, look in front of you and check if your hood is vibrating. Mine does! and it's annoying. It has been like that since day 1. I brought it to casa for service and they say it's normal for all xtrails. I doubt it. They already checked the rubber stoppers on the hood, and they seem to be ok. I feel that my idling rpm is a bit low. Our unit has less than 2000km on the odometer. With your recommended Denso iridium plugs, I'm wondering if it might help eliminate the vibrations.

Dude sorry to say this but it is normal. Mine is like that as well. It is more evident on a dark colored xtrail like mine (black). I guess sanayan lang. Talagang manipis yung yero. One remedy if it really irritates you is to reinforce that section with something. Try gluing an aluminum flat bar across that area to reinforce it. Anyway I don't think that it will aestetically affect your underhood coz there will be insulation covering it. Use sikaflex to glue it. Tibay ng sikaflex. Industrial strength yan used by bus body builders.

It is recommended that you replace it after 20k km. However, the local engineer of Denso used his until 40k km and it was ok. In Japan, they use a certain solvent to clean the tip or you can sandblast the tip with silica and super clean yan. Cguro at 20k km conting liha lang ng #2000 ok na ulit. You dont regap iridiums.
