For CX-5 owners with auto-stop, how long did it take before you had to replace the car battery?

Mine (2.5 AWD) was less then 1.5 years when the battery error light started appearing and i-stop no longer worked.

Finally replaced the battery (12k sa casa) and the the CX-5 worked normally again

Parang the stock battery never lasts as long as new ones... probably because the units sit a few months on the lot before actual delivery to end-user? That said, parang hindi sulit yung fuel savings vs the cost of a new battery. =/

Sir speed_kills, my battery also needs replacement na after 2 years. Which casa gave you 12k for the battery. I asked MAZDA Q.Ave and Greenhills and both gave me a price of 14.5k. What brand was the replacement battery? Motolite? Was there any programming charges coz they said they had to reprogram the unit. TIA for your help. :-)

I did the battery change in Greenhills. Battery was Motolite brand and sorry I might have been mistaken with the 12k price I mentioned earlier. I got 10% off from the quoted price by the way.

Thanks for the info sir speed_kills. Did they charge you any programming fee after changing the battery?

Hi Guys, I'm interested in buying the 2016 CX5 and I did a test drive of its 2.0L. And i would just like to ask the opinion of owners who have that variant. Did you ever feel that the engine was underpowered? especially during overtaking and when the car is full of people? During the test i really had to floor it, or have to put in sports mode to really feel the pull.

Also, was thinking if its worth the extra 200k for the upgrade to the 2.5L AWD.

Thank you guys in advance! Hope i can hear from you soon
