Back then when I still didn't understand this back in 2006, I also took my Fort to Bicutan to have them replace the headlights. First visit, they said they will check it and after a few hours they claim to have replaced the lenses ( I don't think so). Reported to them that the fogging got worse so the second visit they promised to replace the pair of headlight (complete with the housing and bulbs). To this day the fogging still occurs and it does so on every other new car we have since then.

But its quite normal after all. But it should only happen when you use the vehicle in the rain and should disappear after a few hours. The heat from the engine bay seeps into the headlight housing then the lens get cooled by the rain so naturally condensation forms. As long as there is no slooshing water inside or significant prolonged moisuture then this condensation or fogging is normal.

I have noticed this on modern headlights that use clear plastic lenses (which means every new car starting 1999 to present).
    it's not normal.
fogging means, pinasok ng tubig yung (headlight) assembly.
look around sir.. majority of the cars do not have fogged headlight assemblies..
never did any of my innovas' headlights fog. nilusong ko pa sa ondoy at habagat..
they're doing something wrong, even as they do not know what it is..

and since it's expensive (and difficult?) to replace headlight assemblies.... they have to come up with all sorts of lame excuses..

Based on the pics i posted is it normal sir? Our hondas doesnt fog, our vios, innova, hilux and revo didnt fog before, its our first time for our brandnew unit "fortuner" na nag fog... I feel disappointed..my theory to this is maybe because
"Since our unit is the 2015 fortuner, black mags , smoked tail and headlamps, maybe toyota used the 2012-2014 "the not yet smoked headlamps" re opened the headlamps then just painted the lens or reflector to black to have this smoked look, and resealed them. "

here you can read our experience with toyota,

Me nkaexperience ba sa inyo na kumalog/ gumasgas yung break before mag full stop kapag driving sa wet road? Na experience ko kc after breaking in nung 2015 fort. Running 60-80 kph tas cguro nagbreak ako 50 meters before full stop pero me kumahog n parang lumalaban sa break before full stop. As in stop na tas kumalog na biglang umuusod pa tas saka pa lang nagfullstop. Sabi ng SA ko ABS daw yun and normal daw yun pag bagong break in. Ano plagay nyo?

    Definitely your ABS kicking in.

But I disagree that it's a normal characteristic only for new cars. ABS engages when your brakes lock due to lack of traction (such as a wet road). It can happen anytime, whether your vehicle is in its break-in period or if you've been driving it for tens of thousands of kilometers, as long as your brakes lock.
