kahit pa ipagbargain yang CNG Gen sets na yan....goodluck if you could get a CNG supplier here sa Pinas...Eh yun ngang mga DOE sponsored CNG buses eh kulang lagi ang supply ng Shell Malampaya..yan pa kayang Generators for individual consumers?

I think if you really are big KW consumer ng meralco you will really benefit dun sa TOU program nila..yun nga lang you have to allocate your usage para mafeel mo ung savings.

Possible. Just the issue of getting a regular CNG supply.

Back in the power shortage in the early 1990s, running a diesel gen-set was actually cheaper than Meralco rates.

AFAIK CNG and LPG pwede daw po gamitin as fuel....

how will the CNG be transported to the malls?

    --

i'm sure big mall owners like SM and Robinson's have already studied all viable ways to lower their electric bill

if CNG gensets are practical they would already be using them. they have more than enough capital to import CNG gensets by themselves

ya may demand naman -- natural gas power plants. yan ang sinu-supplyan ng Malampaya

Malampaya natgas is fed to 3 power plants in Batangas

for transport, i think there are only 2 stations where you can get CNG -- in Batangas and Laguna

there's no pipeline infrastructure to distribute natgas beyond those places

new techonology daw sir? you need trained techinicians to install it sa A.C..... and ang ka partner namin eh yung manager ng co. na gumagawa ng gen. set for AC... sila din kasi yung supplier namin ng GEN. SETS... YUNG CNG siguro baka magka problema kung hindi ppwede ang LPG... what do you think sir? maganda kayang pasukin?

    why not?

    give it a try

but i have my doubts re CNG-powered gensets

and i don't know about selling gensets to mall owners

those big guys can easily bypass importers and go directly to the source

even if the technology is new the supplier can send people here to supervise the installation

Also remember that for CNG/LPG gensets, you have to get DENR permit, building permit, mechanical and electrical permits and a whole lot of other permits. While I'm sure that the mall operators can get these, its a hassel.

Maintenance is another issue. Unless those are low speed generator sets, you will have maintenance issues. Specially with China units.

It may be simpler to go with TOU and buy a Dunhambush ice cell A/C. Its a type of A/C that you typically run at night and produce chilled or ice water that you consume in the morning.
