By the way, Sky now claims to have Fiber-enabled Cable Broadband as well. Any techie here who can shed light on this solution?

    Thanks in advance.
I cant say since depende sa lugar malamang. Skybb was unusable in our area in pasig that i had to resort to my smart lte just to have internet. Sa ibang lugar naman daw ok skybb.

My pldt fibr is 20mbps and no problems streaming hd content in kodi, save for the occasional crappy source.

I get what you're getting your doubt from but see this:

Here's my speedtest agains my own ISP's speedtest servers:

And to back it up, here's a speedtest against Netflix's severs (fast.com):

I hope you believe this now

I can vouch for his internet speed too.

Been using the same ISP he has which is Comclark Fiber, for almost 2 years now. 100mbps connection too.

4k Video from Youtube buffers perfectly fine.

I'm not particularly sure about PLDT's Fiber.

But Comclark/Converge ICT Fiber, really did a great job with their service so far.

I'm a PLDT Fiber user in Manila too (although Copper over Fiber VDSL2 only because I live in a condo) and it's also stable. What I don't like about Comclark/Converge is that they don't give you public IP's. They give you NAT'ted private IP's that are unroutable over the Internet. So CCTV's and servers behind your network aren't accessible from outside.

Can't watch 4K since my phone only supports 1080p but the speed is more than enough watch 1080p 60fps videos and streams.
