    I am still using a Nexus7 at home,- wifi-connection...

Still is a bigger screen than my handphone... A bit slow, but tolerable for browsing (and streaming too)

Yes... I hate using a laptop in the couch!

When travelling, I prefer to just use my tablet+BT Keyboard+small (portable) mouse for my office mails...

Although my phone is big enough... I find it more comfortable to hold my table during extended periods.

Lol lsb! When I started the thread, I wanted to measure the preference of the forum members between phablets and tablets. With the advent though of pokemon-go, the results may change drastically. [emoji2]

    ^^

    Hehe.

I do bring an Acer tablet and a (movie) hard drive when I travel. Takes out the monotony of doing nothing.

Laptopmag says people are slowly shifting to Chromebooks. And pretty soon we'll be able to install Android apps on ChromeOS.

i guess i just grew up in the Windows/keyboard age, i just find tablets too constraining. Naka adapt naman ako sa non-touch display

For me tablet over phablet/phone when browsing or watching you tube.

For movies, phone + VR player. I watched most of the Game of Thrones Season 6 on my phone using a freebie VR player.

The purpose of a tablet for me is pure entertainment. That means watching videos and surfing the Web in a leisurely fashion like I'm doing now. Some Web sites have too tiny text in a smartphone.

A 7" tablet such as my old Hisense Sero 7 Pro and 8" iPad Mini 2 are just right. I filled my Android tablet with music videos. It's what I use exclusively in the gym. It replaced my old Sony PSP 1000. The iPad Mini 2 is perfect for surfing the Web at places with WiFi hot spots such as the mall. I'm not sure why. But, the surfing experience is superior on the iPads. We have a number of Android tablets at home and none can match any of the iPads. However, the Androids have far better compatibility with various video formats and has convenient drag n drop capabilities.

If I have to go to places where there is no Internet access, I would take an Android tablet with me. I think the Android tablets are better as a pure media player.

I can't see myself using a tablet for serious work. I can barely tolerate a laptop much less a tablet. At both college campuses here in town, having both a smartphone and a laptop seems to be the most popular with students. The laptop seems most popular at the library and study hall while the smartphone is for everywhere else.

Gaming on tablets/smartphones is still too unwieldy to me. My kids came to the same conclusion and prefer gaming on a desktop PC.

Still using my Ipad 1 64gb for browsing .cbr comics files. Pag pinang browse ng facebook sobrang bagal na. Since low res lang yung screen ang haba ng battery life niya.

I am using an iPad Pro 12.9" for email, youtube and games with occasional use of Microsoft office apps.
I also have the old iPad 2 for spotify connected to my BT speaker. The battery life for my iPad 2 (5 years old) is still at par with the newer iPads out there.

Ipad mini 3/4 user here. My prefered device for my phantom3 advanced. Powerful enough to run the DJI GO app, walang lag and it doesn't crash during flights. Yeah, battery life is great kahit power hungry yung dji go app.

A 10 inch is just convenient for viewing car waveforms, browsing through wiring diagrams, specs, service information from alldata. It's neither too large nor too small to get the details.

We do. Unfortunately, everyone switched from Android to iOS. I inherited a few discarded 7" Android tablets (Hisense, Samsung, Verizon 4GLTE). Not really sure what to do with them. I really don't like the waste. There was a 4th Android. But, the youngest kid cracked the glass by mistake.

Nope, a laptop and a 5.5inch smartphone is enough for me.
