I donated a number of old computers recently. My old P3 is finally gone although it served beautifully as an internet/homework pc to the last.

My oldest pc right now is in storage and still has the original Athlon XP 1700+ cpu from 2001 and ASUS motherboard with the rare but ultra-reliable AMD760 chipset. That freakin motherboard outlasted all other Athlon XP motherboards I used afterwards. I just can't bear to part with it.

My oldest pc part is still the Hauppage WinTV PCI from 1998. It has worked great through the years with Win95, Win98/SE, Win2000 Pro, Win XP Pro/Home (along with various Linux distros) using both the Hauppage tv software and DScaler.

    Oldest part of my PC...hmmmm...

SPEAKERS - Juster 500w PMPO amplified, straight from the heydey of my top-of-the-line Pentium MMX 200MHz! Complete with 16MB RAM, 1MB S3Trio VC, and 2.38GB Maxtor HDD. I still have the complete set, tho it's currently in storage at tito's place. AT casing still in use, but with Pentium III innards.

My other older set of PC speakers [Typhoon, amplified] is still being used by my mom, as external speakers for the TV in the kitchen.
