Until they have an actual replacement, credit cards will still be around. The current form is the "smart" credit card with the built-in microchip.

Smartphones with digital wallets will only be extension of credit cards and generally only useful for cities with extensive implementation of NFC payment technology (like the Octopus system in HK). But they are still too easy to steal to be mainstream in other countries.

Plasma has made a comeback due to their wider viewing angle. Current plasma screens are more durable and last as long as current technology LCD screens (around ten years). They also offer better "black" and a more balanced illumination as compared to some LCD screens which suffer uneven back-lighting.

There will always be a physical version of the credit card. It might not be an actual "card" but it will be a physical object.

LED TVs actually consume quite a bit of power. Take a peek behind a 42inch LED TV and see the specs sticker.

It will still be in physical form, but for convenience, i prefer it to be contact less (no magstrip).

There are technology that cannot be replaced easily or become obsolete in next decade
e.g.

PC / laptop - if working on IT field (as developer, engineer, architect etc) PCs or laptop is still the weapon of choice. Tablets will not replace pc or laptop e.g. gaming (that needs multiple GPU and better played in mouse as its pointing device), developing apps, 3d modeling or creating expert systems will not suffice for the hardware architecture of tablet. Tablet is better for PMs/CEO (higher ups) who just manage teams / company

CC (credit card) - can be in a new form but there will be trillion$$ of investment to replace the existing magstrip cc (card and the "card reader") so i doubt it will be replaced after a decade from now. Smartphone can be good as replacement for CC but the problem is security (snatchers, hacking, etc). Even if you have fingerprint authentication, if one can reset the firmware, authentication is by passed. Realistically, to implement this smartphone and CC (as one), it can be in a some form of NFC (or similar) but transition of phones to this technology hasn't been a defacto standard in mobile phones thinking NFC has lingered for quite sometime.

Nope. I doubt it.

Even today, a big chunk of mobile phones sold are the low end phones like the Nokia 1000... cheap, durable, long lasting battery life, gets the job done with no fuss.

Plus 90% of cp users are on prepaid sims so retailers of load would still want a cheap but reliable cp. Office Cp din mga ganyan lang kasi nga mas call and text lang naman, sakto lang yan.
