Optical fiber with its wavelenght division multiplexing replacing all copper infrastructure. All telcos are leading to this route, one fiber in a box data + phone + tv. Wireless would still have limited bandwidth, so not much to expect for the mobile phones.

Obviously, TDM is just the tip of the iceberg....

That is essentially all the "colors" of the spectrum (not just as we see it), being the information highway....

Yes,- there has to be a jump in technology for batteries.....

Compared to the current applications, battery technology is still in the middle ages...
