I'd say most CEOs aren't watch enthusiasts. Some buy just for the status, some are more deliberate in choosing simple watches (because it isn't their vice), etc.

Same with cars - some have simple cars, some have nice cars. Not all who have nice cars are enthusiasts - some just have money and buy nice cars because they can, some buy to portray their status, and of course there's a small population of enthusiasts who have very choiceful decisions on what car they drive (whether expensive or not).

That's a good 2 piece collection there. From track to boardwalk to bedroom, este boardroom. With the Orient dress watch you now have a watch for every occasion. Congrats!

I actually think it's the more balanced Sub. No love it or hate it cyclops.

Thank you bros. A good deal came up and took the plunge. Now I'll see if I end up loving my Sub as much as I love my Speedy. [emoji848]

Both the date and no-date are hard to find. Even with the increased SRP, both Washington and Lucerne still have long waiting lines.

I also checked this out earlier and it fits so much better than the Orient:

40mm case, 11mm thickness. It felt perfect on my hand. Perfect with loafer or brown office shoes.

So tempting but enough is enough. [emoji23]

Plenty of time for you to get it some day bro. From IWC I'd also consider the Portofino.

Or maybe something drastically different, like a JLC Reverso or GO Panomatic Lunar/Power Reserve.

I tried the Portofino before - it was the first IWC that caught my eye. But now it doesn't sing to me as much ss the Le Petit Prince. [emoji7]

When in doubt, open the caseback and check the movement.

IWCs really depreciate a lot. Only Rolexes don't. Even a Speedmaster depreciates.

I'll wait for a good deal on the Pilot Mark XVIII a few years down the line.
