Finally, a good working version of ScummVM for Android. Previous versions were terrible.

I had to resort to using ScummVM because the original CDs are becoming ever more scratched. Some of my Lucasarts adventure games are over 20 years old (Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Day of the Tentacle).

I love the Far Cry games. I think Far Cry 4 tops the most open-world category.....

Aerofly FS on the PC looks good so long as you stay very high.

The PS4 graphics are adequate enough to me. Although my desktop PC has better hardware, my laptop doesn't. The PS4 has better graphics than my laptop (14" ASUS RoG G46VW with i5 3230m and GTX 660m). If the PS4 has mouse/keyboard support for games, I would move much of my gaming to it.

This is the PS4 version of Far Cry 4 from someone's PS4 screenshot collection. Looks pretty darn good to me. The caveat is the PS4 version is limited to 30fps. To me 30fps would be my minimum. I prefer higher framerates. At similar settings to the PS4, my Far Cry 4 framerates would be solidly in the 50's/60's with drops to the 40's and occasionally to the upper 30's.

My desktop PC (Far Cry 4) settings are currently Ultra at 1080p with 2xTXAA. My laptop settings are Low-Medium at 768p with SMAA.

Well, the advantage of a console is that it can access low level API so it can churn far more FPS than it normally would in PC because of DirectX overhead.

Take for example the problems of the PC port of Assassin's creed and Batman Arkham knight. They run just fine on console but when you move over to PC, you need at least 2 Titan X to run the game smoothly.

This problem is supposed to be solved by Direct X 12. So far, only AMD can use its full potential with asynchronous shading technique.

You also don't have to worry too much about the OS and device drivers. Consoles are out of the box experiences unlike the PC which require some first-use set ups. That's it though. Most of the time, if you want more, you're struck with what came in the box.

I heard about it. But, I like more "bang bang" in my games. I'll have to wait and see if it suits my tastes.

I've owned the original MS FSX for almost nine years now. Still works okay in Windows 10.

Videogames anyone?
