What is the advantage of having a dual compressor split type aircon as compared to a 1:1 compressor and fcu? granting both have the same tons of refrigeration rating.

I don't know if this has been posted before. While I was making a quick research on electricity demand forecast, I stumbled upon this database of airconditioners in the Philippines. You might find it useful.

may nakita akong presentation dati ung solar assisted cooling system which uses solar panels to pressurize the R407c gas. Nasa 50% din ang savings.

ok po ba ang inverter na window type na ACU? how does it compare to split type inverter units in terms of power consumption?

You tell us... As I know of, only 2 makers of window type in Phl, Hitachi & Kolin (very recently). The tech is quite new, so only time will tell if it is worth the price.

I have a Hitachi window type inverter AC 1 hp. So far I have not called for service apart from regular cleaning. Tingin ko lang mas mabilis magpalamig ang non-inverter unit.

I also have Koppel split type inverter 1 hp. Nag leak na after 2 years. I guess there's nothing wrong with the unit but with the installation.

Now I prefer window inverter. That's because if something goes wrong, i only have to suspect that there's something wrong with the unit unlike with split type, there could be something wrong with the installation and fittings.

Sir machine.pistol how about the energy consumption of your hitachi window inverter? matipid ba? I wanted to know if effecient ang window type na inverter kasi I am geared towards this due to ease of installation.

Sharing my experience with window type inverter. Bought a kolin 1.5hp window inverter, arrived on 6/17 then i got around to install it nung 6/19. It replaced a 13yr old conventional, .75hp i think.

Below is my post in another forum.

    Update lang:
    New meralco bill
    Bill Period: June 19, 2015 to July 18, 2015
    Amount: P 5,497.25

From 10.3k the previous month. Very similar usage except for some nights na ok naman panahon, but daytime usage remained the same.

I was expecting mga 8k - similar to our trend from last year for the same month, pero to my surprise it turned out to be even better.

Take it with a grain of salt please, may iba pang factors yan panigurado kasi hindi naman sabay yung pag sukat.

Mas tahimik sya kesa dun sa pinagpalitan nya, could be because its new. Right now mas maingay pa electric fan ko kesa sa kanya. Wala ako measuring device ha, tantyahan lang.

For sharing lang boss, my bill went down by 25 % for the period june-july compared to may-june due to weather changes, so assuming na ganun din sa inyo, ang net savings ng shift nyo to inverter ay around 22%. So tugma dun sa expected nyo na 8k

Edit: my consumption pala (kwh) went down 25% not my bill. rates also went down 7%. over-all effect pala sa bill is less 31%

Kolin does not have good quality. The ones who are saying they are good probably don't use them that much.

Window type inverter air conditioner is more expensive because production volume is much lower than split type inverter. Most developed countries use split type air conditioners.
