it's part of the professional way of thinking, what with having to deal with all sorts of patients' pocketbooks.
also, it's dad's way... "mahal yan! heto na lang.. mas mura na, mas matibay pa. huwag nyo lang i-sali sa beauty contest".
(yes, that's where i got one of my favorite quotes.)
    but thank you.

    hah!
pockets, wallets, billfolds, and purtamonedas pala.
    mine error.

yes. my dad would rather build it from scratch, than to buy the commercially available item. mas matibay pah.
examples: extension cord and trouble light. silya't mesa. dedicated outlet for aircon, with circuit breaker. outside weather-resistant lighting system. much of what he made, are still very much alive today, 15 years after he passed away.
but it came at a price. hell, high water, lunch, dinner, sleep. he would forgo, until the job was done.

Hahaha...those. Coincidentally familiar. He must be up there smiling being remembered, doc.[emoji120]
Mine, a mech engr, his world was driven by constant lil projects til health slowed him. One day, took home an IH Scout shell from the salvage yard. No doors, no glass, no engine nor suspension. Asked his bud's Firebird doors, got a 4D56 surplus engine & some more junk....Frankenstein'd it into a worthy rare running, rigid axled bulletproof Scout complete w/ AC & radio that served the family a long while.[emoji4]
Ooops, now we're way OT. Apologies.
