from experience, split type harder more expensive to install and maintain, its selling point was its was more quiet, pero not anymore, new ones are quiet na din..the only advantages i see sa split type are...pwede mo iiwas yung motor sa direct sunlight at kung hindi pwede talaga yung window type kasi walang window...
