Yan din akala ko dati, until I stumbled upon a Yugatech article from 2008, pinaka mahal dati Nokia 8800 sapphire * 56,500, most expensive Android phone that time was HTC Touch HD * 55,900 while an iPhone 3G 16GB costs 43,799.

Narealize ko kung tutuusin mas mura pa yata ngayon, especially if get it in cash or grey market stores. [emoji16]

i would argue that *flagship* phones are the ones getting expensive...otherwise you can get mid-rangers with decent specs at reasonable prices.

    i agree.
ang daming lower-end napakamurang branded cellphones diyan.
many years ago, nokia's flagship communicators were already selling in the 45K peso range.

tingin ko nga sir, sinasadyang i-price ng mahal para maging "ka-level' na ng iphone or samsung.

Looks like Samsung has to come up with good discounts to deplete their inventory.

Yes, mga flagship. Dati note line ako. Ngayon di ko na ma justify ang presyo nya. I'll probably look for a lower priced flagship phones next year.

I always buy last year's flagship. Very high depreciation is good for buyers like me.

Maybe they reached the point that the innovation doesn't justify the price anymore.

    Wala ka lang warranty.

Personally I don't buy non-NTC units with no local Samsung warranty. But to each his own.

I suggest you get your unit from well-known grey market stores instead, noong Note 7 Fiasco nirecall pa din ng Kimstore kahit hindi under warranty ng Samsung PH. Not sure nga lang sa ibang sellers.

Have seen a lot of complaints about OLED burn which is common with edge screen Samsungs, hindi naman sinagot ng Kimstore yung repair.

My mom's S8+ had screen burn in and Samsung replaced it free of charge because it was under warranty. Buong front panel pati battery pinalitan na, so almost good as new. 16k pag out of warranty.
