I havent seen any conclusive evidence that screen protectors are harder than the Gorilla Glass on my phones. In the instances that the screen protector breaks, it's usually not strong enough to have broken the phone's LCD if it wasn't protected.

Ditto ... screen protectors are like under coating offered by dealers ... just good for making your wallet lighter ...

This is what I didn't like about my Nexus 5 before. Personally I prefer Samsung's Touchwiz over the stock Google UI.

Yung QC 2.0 sa SD810 ang init, kaya after ng 6.0 update nag underclock din ang Z5. Pero gusto ko yung option nila na may Battery Optimisation, limit battery charge at 80-90% para humaba lifespan 😁

    Re: Screen Protectors

I only use those film type screen protectors, not the tempered glass types. Tempered glass are sometimes as hard as the screen itself, but as with the screen then they can also crack.

Film types, just as with tints, helps to prevent cracking, just like when you drops the phone in one of its corners, or face down. That's why most times you'll see naked screens with cracks running their length (or diagonally) or cracked in one of their corners. It can be quite ugly after a while though as it's not as scratchproof as the screen or a tempered glass. That's why I prefer those flip covers.

Against drops most likely useless. But it does offer protection against scratches. Accidental contact with keys, zippers, trouser rivets and the like easily scratch even the latest version Gorilla glass.

I've experienced QC 2.0, Dash charge and QC 3.0. QC 3.0 definitely charges faster with very noticeable improvement in heat generation as well. Big upgrade from 2.0 to 3,0 imho.

The only advantage I knwo of for a tempered glass is that in some instances if you drop your phone (my son's G2 and my colleagues S7E, the tempered glass may absorb the brunt and crack but it may save your screen. But that is not a guarantee imho since some S7E glass esp the edge still chips or crack. So a good bumper case is a must imho.

The usual tempered glass has a Mohs rating of 2 lang daw. SO they definitely will scratch easily vs your original screen which is about 7. Keys and the liek cannto scratch your phones screem kahit na 6 lang Mohs niyan if Gorilla glass 2 or below siguro ang rating.

Your keys, your coins, your pens and mint tins and door access badges: they are not as hard as your phone glass, so they do not scratch it.

What is as hard as your phone's screen is sand, grit, and other particles that have bits quartz, topaz, and other such minerals in them. Your brain doesn't equate tiny particles with big scratches, but it's science, my good sirs and madams. And fine white sand, the kind on Florida beaches, may very well be what caused the smaller, circular scratch on my wife's phone.

my wife's 6.7 inch zenfone dropped facedown on a concrete floor. it has a leather type flip cover Sa screen. the whole screen still cracked. if a thick and soft leather protection can still crack the screen, I don't see how a tempered glass can protect it.

Just to clarify, my flip case is more a protection against smudges and scratches as I usually carry my phone in my back pocket or in a bag. What protects the screen from cracking (again, up to an extent) is the film type screen protector. A tempered glass protector may still shatter or crack in a corner or face down drop.

Good to know bro. Thing with the S7e, I've never been more afraid of drops than I am now. With my past phones I've always had robust cases that had at least 1mm of lip that made it impossible for the screen to be the first point of contact. With the glass edges on this one I never feel secure. Would've happily gotten a regular S7 instead if it were available from my carrier.

Nougat rocks. Battery life is much improved even with bluetooth headset, navigation and calls from dual sims all running at the same time. ☺

i think so, battery life have improved. i had noticeable improvement when i made used use of the device maintenance and optimize the battery, performance, storage and ram. it useful feature for me that i paste the widget "device maintenance" in my wallpaper so i can click easily when i feel its the phone is becoming sluggish. btw, i'm running with only one sim now, i used the other slot for miscroSD full of hi-res music files.
