Sa mga gumagamit ng Smart 3G to browse the internet - I need you opinion and view (reviews)...

Ok ba? Ano bad experiences nyo on that capability of smart?

I'm thinking of shifting to smart (from globe) sana because of that feature...kaso sa smart buddy ko ang hirap makahanap ng 3G signal. Up to now I haven't been able to surf or connect through it.

E baka kasi balewala lang ang paglipat ko if ever na lumipat ako from globe to smart.

i don't know if Smart have disabled internet browsing through 3G, but it is so damn slow even if there's a 3G signal. it's just like dialup only.

HG & shadow, were you using your cellphones as modems for your PC's internet connection? or you're using WeRoam?

using my N70, mga 500kbps ata (although dapat 300 something lang dapat since 3G lang ang N70) yung last na Speedtest result ko (im from qc).
But i rarely use it since may DSL nman ako.

There's only one prob though, lahat kayo iisa ang IP address so pag nagpunta kayo sa FTP servers na may IP address administrator, di kayo makakapag-download habang may ibang Smart 3G users na naka-log.

    Baka signal?

Pero alam ko iba ang profile ng GPRS at 3G. Mahal ang GPRS (at mabagal).

    sa akin kasi:

    SmartInternet (3G)
    SmartGPRS
    SmartMMS

meron ba talagang '3G; after the 'Smart Internet'? ganyan din ang mga profiles ko, pero walang 3G after the Smart Internet profile.

wala pre... smartinternet lang. once your phone is configured for 3G or dual-mode automatically, nagco-connect sya using the 3G network instead of GPRS kung may available na signal.

if SE gamit nyo, tested ko na na pag ung builtin browser gamit then gamitin nyo ung phone to connect your PC to the net, not worth it as you can only access one site at a time and at a very slow loading time.

But, if you install Opera Mini on your phone, you can download up to 700kbps. Problem is, via your phone and not via PC ang downloading to get that high a speed. Units tested: K800, P990, and K600. HTH

Tip: Try visiting http://www.testmy.net using SE's built-in browser and do a speed test. Do the same process with Opera Mini and compare.
